Description
Tampa Bay Brewing Company is one of Florida’s first & premier Craft Breweries. TBBC opened at the tail end of the last "Micro-Brew" Boom. Our philosophy then and now is simple: Brew beer we love to drink! Thank goodness there were plenty of like-minded people around to support our endeavor. Today, TBBC thrives within the incredible brewing community of Tampa, Florida which was once just a two brewery town...we were lonely back then! We currently operate an Ybor Brewpub and a Production Brewery in the northern part of Tampa. We are organically growing distribution with the end goal of being a Florida only brand with a driving vision of Beer Crafted for the Florida Lifestyle. Cheers!

Draft, Pours black with a thick brownish / nutty head. Taste is malt/caramel, a little nutty and roastiness. Leaves a thick and creamy presence on the palate. This is one of my fav. at TBBC with their wonderful IPA.

Pours up dark opaque brown with lasting brown head and some sheet lacing. The mild to moderate aroma has notes of roasted to burnt malts, a solid dose of oatmeal that makes itself known and backed up by sweet malt and molasses goodness interleaved with some oxidation. The taste starts sweet with molasses and malt sweetness before a mix of an oatmeal twang and oxidation quickly take over. The oxidation note may just be an over abundance of oatmeal. Not sure. It does hint (to me) at oxidation. Midway into the finish and deep into the after taste it gets roasty malts and burnt malts setting the plate for rich dark chocolate. The burnt malts seem to grow long after the beer has vanished into the gullet.

Listed as 6.6% ABV on the chalk board. Pours up rusty red with off white head and moderate lacing. It has a mild aroma of sweet and roasty malts and not much else. The taste is much the same with roasty malts to start that are mildly dry with faint astringency. It then moves toward sweet malts and sweet dark fruity esters. Into the finish it gets a bit toasty and toffee like. Nice offering that could use a bolder nose and a little more depth in the flavor.

Chalice pour kind of gold and orange in the center with a meek off white head. Mild aroma of sweet Belgian candi sugar sweetness and faint dark fruity esters. I can’t really smell any hops. The taste is thick Belgian caramelized candi sugar along with sweet cherries and dates. The hops are very mild and just noticeable. This Belgian beer is more Belgian than several Belgian beers I’ve had. Very Belgian in fact. The mild vague hoppiness builds up toward midway and yet dies out toward the finish leaving Belgian candi sweetness and hints of Belgian yeasty spiciness.

Draft. Ruby amber beer with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with light hops. Sweet, sherry flavor with caramel, and light hops. Medium-plus bodied. Lingering sweet malt, light citrus, and light something that starts to turn into pink liquid antibiotic flavors that I just can’t get out of my head.

Draft. Golden/straw beer with an off-white head. Low aroma with light wheat, malt, and light spice. Wheat, light spice, lightly skunked flavor. Wheat, banana, and light spice lingering. Medium bodied. Lacking a bit of yeast characteristics - there, but could be more prevelant.
