Cask at Crown Inn, Southampton. Nut brown. Flowery hoppy nose. Sweet and perfumy with medium body and soft mouthfeel. Some caramel, plenty of perfumy hops, mildly bitter finish. Not bad at all.

Cask at The Golden Retriever, Bracknell. Ambered coloured with a thin white head; malty aroma; taste is slightly sour with a citric edge; leading to a dry, slightly bitter aftertaste. Very refined - the essence of an English bitter.

Bottle from Beer_Hawk; Nose of cream and chocolate; opaque black with a medium, glass-lacing, rusty-tan head; flavor is sucrose and chocolate, with a creamy body and flavor. Definately a "sweet" stout!

Test vom 15.12.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 11,7,6,3,8,7 - 6,70

Bottle pours a deep black witha dark brown, short lived head. Aroma is very inviting sweet, dark roasted, tootsie rolls and chocolate. Flavor is more bitter and charcoaly but still lots of sweetness. A bit of wet cardboard and very little bitterness. Soft feel but not very heavy. lingering sugary trailer. Tasty though like a dessert beer. Thanks again to Pinkzambia for bringing this one over.

bottle - Pours black with a nice tan head. Roasted malts and chocolate smells waft up from the glass. Medium bodied with very light carbonation, the pleasant mouthfeel is matched by good roast malt and coffee flavors. It’s smooth and easy to drink. Nice beer.

Handpump at Weatherspoons, Heathrow Terminal 2 - amber colour with a creamy white head which lasted all the way down, smooth to drink, suspiciously like a nitro-brew. Floral, hoppy, aroma with a clean bitter taste, and no finish.
