A golden colored beer with a white head. The aroma and flavor is dominated by alcohol with no complexity to hide it - just too much for me.

Bottled. This is from my gift stash of five-year-old beers. The label mentions the Cincinnati brewery, but not Boston Beer or Hudepohl.
This aged bottle opens to a big smell of molasses, coffee and chicory. Pours the darkest brown head I’ve seen, which thins away quickly. A slight lactic sourness, not a prominent as a Caffrey’s, lends an orangey chracter. An astringent espresso roast flavor add to bitterness for its own sake. But toward the finish it mellows out and leaves you with an impression of rum.
This was part of a stash a fellow homebrewer gave away, which I thought would barely carry me through to my 100th rating. Instead, I’m at 342 with two bottles left.

Bottle. Black beer with a deep tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, and cocoa. Roasted malt flavor a coffee-like ending - and again, some chocolate. Smooth beer that’s easy to drink. Finishes with a sweetness that lingers. A little lactose at the end as well.

TAP-Deep dark with moka head. Stewed frutis aroma coated in choclate. A bit sweeter than expected, but very enjoyable sweet choclate, lighter hops, good body.

Trinidad Version: A deep dark stout with a very thick lacing brown head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with perfumy notes, coffee and chocolate. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate caramel malt with light licorice notes, coffee, overall, very nice for T&T. 7-3-7-3-13

Draught
Copper brown. Creamy steady white head. Aroma is herbal and hoppy. Easy drinkable smooth malty palate. Some bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied and a bit watery. Aftertaste is oily and has some toffee flavor.

(275 ml bottle.) Very dark/black, good tan head. Aroma is malts and coffee, flavour is sweet and malty with coffee and chocolate notes, hardly any bitterness. This beer proves that a low ABV beer can be flavourful, but it's just too sweet to be a favourite of mine.

Golden color. Malt and bread aroma. Sweet, oily, alcoholic. Strong final bitterness. A bit too cloying.

Very dark with some purple color. Looked like oil. Aroma of malt. Taste was very good but not complex with a very heavy and pleasant coffee flavor. There was some chocolate. I have heard this is actually brewed in Ohio for the American market.

Smells like chokolate melted in a shoe. Quite dark with a frothy brown head. Sweet milkchokolate and recycled coffeeground. Lightbodied. Awfull sugar aftertaste.
