Description
The Brauhaus Gusswerk is an innovative symbiosis of a beer bar and a brewery, a place for enjoyment, communication and cosiness. The initiator of this unique project is Salzburg's Reinhold Barta, passionate brewer. After more than ten years of organic brewing experience he realized his organic brewery in Salzburg's “Gusswerk” in 2007. Reinhold Barta's goal is to make sustainable and biodynamic beer in Austria socially acceptable. When he saw the plans of the "Gusswerk", he immediately knew: "This is where my brewery belongs." The beer should be drawn from the strength of its origin, of course with purely organic ingredients and old, natural manufacturing processes that reflect the circle of nature.

Buying it at the Frastanzer brauerei, august 2024. Best before 11/24, opening it yesterday, at Epalinges with my wife. Beautiful body, classical red ale, malty and smooth for the style, touch of freshness, light, light bitterness, a bit watery.

BB 25.06.2025. amber hazy color, small white head. smells flowery, honey, malty, bit breadish. nice smell. light body, soft carbonation. tastes peppery, honey, tobacco, some bitterness, light floral notes, light fruit notes, light grass, lightly earthy. finishes bitter and sweet with notes of honey, grass and earthy notes. nice one, I actually like this, good to drink, pretty decent mouthfeel, nice bitterness to it.

Bottle picked up from Eurospar, Schärding, Austria and consumed at home Tuesday 4th March 2025, Loz is preparing a Chorizo, Halloumi, Chick Pea etc Traybake, we're listening to ByteFM. Okay this is a fairly typical Alkoholfrei beer, usual taint, but it's actually refreshing and for some reason despite the lack of positives I'm enjoying it 'sort of' . Pours gold, slight haze, white head, cannot really describe the aroma.

Bottle. Pours amber colour with white head. Decently combined biscuits-y and hoppy notes are present both in aroma and tase. Medium lasting bitter finish, light body and soft carbonation. Pleasant amber ale.

In my point of view, this beer is closer than an ale instead of a red ale, hoppy, malt, side of weizen, fruity, refreshing.15.02.2017, bringing back from Vienna, tasting it at Lausanne, Prélaz with a good ocopa.

This second round for this beer was clearly better than the first time, bottle arriving at the limit of the date. On the way of an amber beer, malty, a bit boozy, smooth at the palate with a nice side of toffee, classical note of hop at the final. 13.11.2020
