16/5/2023. Can bought at West Mini Mart, Malakal Island, Koror, Palau enjoyed on our hotel balcony. Pours clear pale golden with a large short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, soapy, stewed fruit, rice water, wet cardboard. Quite sweet with low bitterness. Light bodied, fizzy. Sweet watery finish. Not so good.

Bottle, best before 12/12/23, drunk 4/21/23. Contract brewed at Peroni, though I assume that's for the Western Hemisphere market and is still brewed in Japan for the Eastern Hemisphere. Anyways it's bright golden-hay, small, white head, little/no retention. Smells like Peroni, nice and hoppy with hay, honey and herbal hops with a touch of acidity. Clean, not worty. Malty, hoppy for the most part, with pepper and herbs. Not a seltzer, at least. Similar to Heineken Zero, though this is even maltier. Sucks that all these shit macro producers have the most capital and thus the best access to making NA beers which do require expensive, state-of-the-art equipment. Regardless, this is pretty good for an NA, definitely in the top tier and surprisingly malty for a macro and an NA.

Bière 33 cl. Dans l'ensemble, je dirais que cette bière japonaise n'est pas extraordinaire, mais pour une bière peu coûteuse et d'un pays qui n'est pas réputé pour ses bières, elle reste tout de même correcte. Elle a un goût léger et rafraîchissant, avec des notes de céréales et de houblon assez subtiles, mais sans aucune complexité. Elle est assez légère et facile à boire, ce qui en fait une option décente pour les occasions où l'on cherche une bière simple et désaltérante pour accompagner un plat japonais.

Can. Clear deep gold with an inch of white head. Aroma is a bit on the dull side with stone fruit and gently spiced bread. But then it's much drier and more bitter than expected with light stone fruit giving way to a quite punchy spicy and bitter finish.
