Alaskan Brewing Company
Microbrewery
in Juneau,
Alaska,
United States 🇺🇸
Associated Venue: Alaskan Brewing Company
Established in 1986
In 1986, 28-year-olds Marcy and Geoff Larson reignited that tradition when they opened the Alaskan Brewing Company, the 67th independent brewery in the country and the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition. Alaskan beers reflect many of the same characteristics of beers that were brewed here during the gold rush era. From the historically based Alaskan Amber recipe to alder-smoked malts and Sitka spruce tips, Alaskan beers reflect Juneau’s local brewing history and innovation.

355ml can. Opalescent, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with average to huge, thick, dense, firm, frothy to creamy, slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Rather perfumed, piney and floral, hoppy aroma, widely disguised, pale malty background, hint sof pine needles, lavender, a touch of bath salt. Taste is moderately bitter, piney, slightly floral, minimally perfumed and soapy hoppy, slightly spicy, pale malty basis, again a touch of bath salt.
Oily-watery texture, slightly dry, simultaneously minimally greasy palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation.
Good watery, clean but quite perfumed - OK.

Schönes dunkles Kupfer im Glas, Schaum passt. In der Nase malzig, Karamell. Im Trunk setzt sich das fort, Karamellmalz. Süffig süß. Könnte kräftiger sein. Im Abgang röstig.
