tap at mikkeller bar. Cloudy orange, smooth offwhite head. Hoppy aroma. Not that strong, very dry hoppy flavor. Quite malty too. Very dry ipa, quite bitter.

Thanks to JaBier for sharing a swingtop bottle. The beer pours dark brownish-black with a thin tan head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lace. Smells pretty much like a cold cup of coffee, plus a touch of malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter coffee character and notes of roasted malt. The finish is roasty coffee with a lingering bitter java aftertaste. Good brew overall.

Flip Top growler thanks to michaelpollack. Pours black. Tan head. Nose is freshly brewed coffee, vanilla bean and roast chocolate malt. Very rich and full nose. Taste is the same, but a bit muted. Body is on the thinner side, but still satisfying.

A lightly hazed orange amber IPA with a thick moka head. In aroma, a nice pinhey hops, grassy and dirty, very nice. In mouth, a smooth IPA with good malt, British grassy hops, light grassy notes, quite nice. On tap at PA Flavor, April 9th, 2011.

Thanks to whoever shared this at the tasting after NotB. Poured a dark brown with a brown head that dissipated to the edges. Aroma was full of coffee with a bit of a dark chocolate backing and slight roast. Flavor began with strong coffee throughout with a bit of roasted malts but mainly coffee.

2010, blue wax bottle, number 947 of 1500. Pours a hazy, deep burnt orange with zero head. Nose is boozy, coconut, raisin, candy sugar reminiscent of a tripel, estery, yeasty. FLavor is sweet, candy sugar, pineapple, caramel, light fruit, booze, rum. Full bodied, sticky finish. This seemed far too young, overly sweet, lacking complexity. I think this could be great in 5 years, but right now it’s just OK.

Bottle thanks to thirdeye11. Pours with a tan head that fades over a very dark brown body. Huge aromas of coffee, roast, vegetables and black pepper. Flavors of molasses, brown sugar and a ton of coffee. Somewhat light mouthfeel with medium bubbles.

Bottle at the Funky 6. Hazy gold on the pour with a medium, white head. Holds a pleasant, natural aroma with notes of grass, herbs and citrus. Nice flavor, lightly sweet with crackery malts, some pepper and herbs, mild citrus and grass hops. Light to medium in body with average to lively carbonation. Dries out a bit in the finish, crisp and clean, slightly doughy and earthy, with notes of yeast, lemon, grains and grass. Wonderful beer.
