Description
At Bitburger, the pure pleasure of Pilsner-style beer has a long family tradition. Since the founding of our brewery in 1817, we have dedicated ourselves fully to the quality and taste of our products. Today, seven generations and almost 200 years later, Bitburger is still in family hands – but the small business of two centuries ago has become one of the biggest breweries in Germany, and the number one player in the draught beer market. We owe the success of our company first and foremost to our employees, who bring real passion to their work for the company. For us, a sense of social responsibility is simply part of what we do. Bitburger also supports many charitable and community projects, and promotes cultural and sporting events.

Bottle picked up a case at Majestic Bicester. very pale yellow in colour, with only the faintest of aroma’s. A very mild and clean tasting pilsner that is most refreshing, don’t agree with the commercial description of strong hop taste, I thought if anything this was an area where it lacked a bit, still not bad and much better than many others in this catergory.

Bottle Pours a clear slightly orange, pale yellow with a short fleeting head. Aroma, is light malts and...well...pilsnerish. Rather sweet flavor, honey and of toasted white bread. Little bittering, and a fairly sweet trailer. What else can I say.

(Bottled) Colour is golden yellow, with a huge, foamy, but quickly disappearing head, leaving some lacing. Nose is malty, with bread, cereal and hints of grass. Crisp and fresh. Taste is dominated by a crisp, dry bitterness. Starts with some malty sweetness and hints of bread, turning into a dry, crisp and fresh bitter finish. Medium body, but rather short. Clean, refreshing and well crafted, but hardly exciting.
