Sep 16, 2024 review: 473mL can, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Nose is mostly WC-style, with lots of piney hops, a bit of citrus zest, not much brett anymore. Flavour is mostly just a solid, punch piney hop bomb, with some resins, and very low-level wild yeast underneath. Not close to the heights when it was launched, but still admittedly excellent. 8 4 8 4 15 Aug 20, 2015 review: 650mL bottle, pours a hazy dark orange with a medium white head. Nose is lovely, with a great mix of resinous hops, some young funky notes, and a little tropical fruits. Flavour is along the same lines, with loads of depth, featuring piney and resinous hops, some lovely funk notes and a little tropical fruits. Amazingly cohesive and complex, and wonderfully integrated. An absolute masterpiece. 9 4 9 4 18

Bottle - Lots of weedy notes, sweet with a bit of funk. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet, light mandarin, weedy and a very light bitterness. Very nice, but a bit over hyped.

Bouteille 660ml, gracieuseté de lupulist, Thanks Mark! Couleur noire opaque, mousse moka fuyante laissant une dentelle éparse. Arôme d’alcool, café, malt torréfié, boisé, cacao, crayon de bois. Goût de malt torréfié, café surtout en fin de bouche, boisé, chocolat noir, alcool (quoi que bien camouflé), noix. Carbonatation faible, corps dense, collante.

2018-07-24, bottle from The Gull, Vancouver, 7-5-7-4-14=37
Hazy golden colour with large head. The aroma seems dominated by the wld yeasts, a bit funky, with mild grapefruit peel and a hint of passion fruit, touch of crackery malts. Delicate malt base, light residual sweetness, good blend of character from the yeast and from the hop oils, grapefruit peel, bitter citrus, a bit vegetable in the finish.
It's still very good, but without being exciting, not bright; I think we have been spoiled in the last couple of years with the quality of local IPAs.
2017-10-11, bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver, 8-5-7-4-15=39
Had two bottle of the 2017 vintage; hazy golden color with frothy head. The hop aroma is more expressive than the flavor; grassy and resiny in the nose, a bit herbaceous, resiny and pithy in the mouth.

Down to the last bottles left, this has been around for almost 2 months, the dryness allows this beer to still be very enjoyable because it didn't become too mellow, the hops are still very good, but a bit less pungent than in the fresher one. But it was worth experimenting.

Hazy blond color, with compact head, leaving a sticky lace on the glass. The aroma is penetrating, citrusy and piney first, a bit more musky then, the mouthfeel is off-dry, nice crackery malts, and wonderful resiny and dank hops; juicy; I notice a light vegetable component compared to the bottles though, in the final it disturbs a bit the perfection of this beer.
2016-09-05, bottle from Denman Wine and Spirits, 8-5-8-4-16=41
Pungent hops and bready, crackery malts. It seems a bit green, but it has the potential to be good as last year's.
2015-08-26, draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver, 10oz, 8-4-8-5-17=42
Hazy dark blond color. Overall it seems more pungent than the bottled beer, and the body thinner (maybe it has more carbonation?) but it's equally fresh and delivering all the qualities of the hop.
Excellent.
2015-08-14, bottle from Darby’s Liquor Store, Vancouver, 9-5-8-4-17=43
Hazy golden color with compact head. Fantastic aroma of pungent hops, very fruity, a bit tropical. The mouthfeel is lean and quite dry, but not weak, unsuspected 7%; the malt is not the prima donna, yet it contributes with some crackery quality, till when the hops go on stage; strong bitterness, very resiny, a bit piney; balanced, nothing is excessive.
Ultrafresh, excellent; I'm curious to see how it would be with a bit of sugars.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small white head. Aroma brings out dark tart fruits, vinegar, and wood. Flavour brings out lots of wood, light vinegar, tart dark fruits and light funk. Really cohesive and nicely woody. Excellent stuff.
