[Gravity cask at Chippenham beerfest] Very pale amber. Yep, it’s ginger alright. Fresh root ginger fading to ginger powder, with not a lot else evident. But I like ginger, so it gets an OK from me.

Bottle from Bellingers, Jet Garage, Grove Nr Wantage, Oxon, purchased & consumed 06-04-10 Pours brown in colour, aroma is touch sour. The taste is also a little sour not desperatly so but I also think not intentionally so, some fruitiness but to be honest after a few slurps this had to go, its not undrinkable but then its not pleasant to drink either. Shame really as the last Little Valley beer I had ’Python IPA’ was very good. A4 A3 F3 P1 Ov7 1.8

Cask@Dog and duck, London. Hazy orangeish amber color with small slightly off-white head. Aroma is Caramel malts, some fruity and floral hoppyness as well as mild nutty notes. Flavour is quite the same. Nice sweetish bitter brew.

500ml Bottle - Golden with a slight haze, lively carbonation and a white head. Hoppy aroma with grapefruit, lemon and ginger. Spicy taste with ginger and lemon detected. The finish is spicy, hoppy and the ginger gives the finish a bit of a kick.

Bottle from Bitter Virtue, Southampton, purchased and consumed 17-01-10 Pours warm gold almost clear with just a little haze and a white filmy head that swiftly departs. Nose is lightly perfumed hops but then there is a little soapiness, Loz on the other hand gets day old cut grass that’s warmed in the sun. Taste initially sweet but I get the soapy hops again and its quite soft in the mouth, the bitterness is there but its not harsh its a slow burner and a very refined English bitterness, some sweet fruits but then there is also a slight flush of citrus. Nice beer that’s a real slow grower, bitterness is a touch furry. I was told that this was brewed with New Zealand Hops but forgot the variety, though I definately recall that it wasn’t one of the more obvious varieties. Not an instant hit but after a while I really enjoyed this beer. I understand that this is the December monthly and bottles were very limited. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6

26th September 2008. Soft creamy IPA, a very mild hop profile. Just a little dusty in the mouth. A little too bland.

26th September 2008. Another softich palate beer from this brewery. But the softness offsets the ginger which is nicely judged. Just a little ginger burn at the very end (a good thing!)

26th September 2008. Low carbonation. Quite grassy hops. Not that crisp. Slightly odd. The temperature some of these beers were being served at at ’Beer Exposed’ doesn’t help!
