This is an interesting brew - hazy orange/copper - a little sweet up front, but at its core it is dry, with Biscuity malts, interesting notes of gingerbread, citrus zest, grassy noble hops - finish is quite spicy - low carbonation, medium body - the slightest bit of butter character, but it does not detract too much from the overall enjoyment - different.

Listed as 3.9 abv - hazy reddish copper - nose of leafy, tobacco notes, molasses, nutty qualities - flavor has a little maple sweetness up front, but is mostly dry throughout - flavors of hazelnut, tobacco leaves, light mineral - a dry, earthy, almost smoky note from the malt - roasty finish - nicely done.

Hazy light gold - thick, clinging lace - nose is fairl heavy on the ginger, some tangy notes from the lemongrass, some soft wheaty notes - soft and pleasant texture in the mouth - flavor is more subdued than the nose suggests - soft wheat flavors, very light citric notes, a touch of spicy ginger on the tail end - finish is dry and crisp - quite nice, really.

Tap at CK 2nd anniversary party - dark purple pour - nose is mostly barrel - sweet port notes, some spicy oak and vanilla - watery texture, kind of flabby - thin overall - medium sweet, with little in the way of Belgian character - some watered down port, light oak - well-masked alcohol - maybe a little bit of plum and currant in the finish - meh.

Tap at CK 2nd anniversary party - dark brown pour - aroma of moderate woodsmoke, maple, toffee, light roasted nuttiness - flavor is fairly sweet, with some caramelized sugar notes that work well with the hardwood smoke flavor throughout - pretty nice.

Tap at CK 2nd anniversary party - turbid orange pour - aroma is a bit musty and musky, with some tart, earthy rhubarb character, some oxidation - flavor is tangy, mildly acidic up front - mild rhubarb, but no noticeable strawberry, nor can you really notice any character from the barrel - quite dry late, with light peppery phenols - overall, actually quite subdued given the adjuncts and barrel treatment - I thought it was decent, but my wife thought it was boring.

Tap at CK - listed as Barrel Aged Old Ale - lightly hazy dark reddish copper - aroma and flavor are surprisingly light, bright, and fruity (both for the style, and for a barrel aged beer) - some light vanilla throughout is the only barrel character I get - medium sweet, with balancing acidity and light bitterness - mild toffee - lingering vanilla in the finish - nice.

Tap at CK - hazy orange - a nice sessionable ale - soft carbonation - light.bodied, but round in the mouth - a bit bready and lightly sweet up front, but for the most part biscuity and dry, with a nice spicy rye kick that is much more present than the hops, which are earthy and subdued - finish is lightly fruity and moderately spicy - a nice sessionable rye beer.

Lightly hazy dark copper - nose of toffee, light spice, some roasted nut - creamy texture, nice round frothiness in the mouth - medium sweet, fairly rich, toasty maltiness - some toffee and sweetbread - light spiciness on the end, as well as a mild metallic note that I often notice in bocks for some reason - solid.

Lightly hazy gold - surprisingly crisp and clean ale, with a light honey sweetness - almost lager like in body and flavor, which likely comes from the sake yeast- some innocuous fruitiness throughout - the rice does add a light starchiness that is a little strange - lightly floral and spicy finish - decent.
