Hazy gold with zero head - low carbonation, almost flat in the mouth - fairly acidic, almost sour - grapefruit and lemon rind - low hop profile, aside from some grassy flavor on the end.- more sourness and acidity on the end.- something is off.

Tap at CK - turbid brownish red - soapy lace - lovely nose of sweet, roasty pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, a touch of anise, a bit of baker’s chocolate - creamy, low carbonation, medium body - they have done wonders with the pumpkin here - it is sweet up front, but earthy and dry in the finish, without a trace of off-putting vegetal character that often happens when using real pumpkin in beer - the mixture of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, all spice) work really well - the malt base provides light chocolate - overall tastes like pumpkin pie with some chocolate drizzled on top - alcohol is completely masked - freaking delicious.

Tap at CK - turbid gold - much lighter and drier than their KettleWeizen, but still has that full mouthfeel that only bavarian wheat malt can provide - simultaneously light, but full and creamy in the mouth - flavor is quite dry, with a fair amount of wheat malt breadiness and a light tang - very light peppery phenolics compliment the driness - very mild clove - finish is dry, lightly bitter, even a touch of a mineral note - quite tasty - another winner of a weizen from CK.

GABF 2012
Appearance: Bllack with a small tan head. Aroma of bakers chocolate. Taste of chocolate and peppers. This was hot in the back of the throat. A sipper because of the heat

Drank in Denver for GABF 2012. Pours a dark brown hue with a medium tan head. A rich nose of chocolates and pepper. A very nice brew: spices, cinnamon for sure, hot big peppers, roast. Very big heat. Nice.

Tap at CK - hazy dark copper - minimal, soapy head - aroma of Biscuity malt, lightly floral hops - kind of dull in the nose, really - the flavor is a little more lively, but not by much - carbonation is low, almost cask-like - sort of a dull, bready flavor up front - a little clean sweetness - a light bit of diacetyl - earthy hop flavor, but not a lot of bitterness - at least not until the finish, which finally begins to jump out with the zesty, peppery hoppiness you expect from a fresh hop ale - sadly, it is a case of too little too late, though - not bad, but could have been so much more.

Tap @ brewery. A touch hay, yellow appearance with a white head. Fairly spicy, onion, grapefruity, citrusy, a touch piney aroma. The onion/garlic came through even a bit more in the the flavor with a bit of chewy yeast, spice, and citrus.

Tap @ brewery. Hazy yellow appearance with a white head. Big basil, herbal, earthy, pizza aroma. Earthy, herbal, organic, basil, light citrusy, lightly chewy flavor. Definitely would enjoy a food pairing with this.

Tap @ brewery. Dark orangish brown appearance with a light brown head. Camp fire smoky, quite peppery, caramel, light toffee aroma. Sort of weird salt and pepper flavor like Salt and Pepper Kettle chips. Beef jerky/bacon, peppery, caramel flavor. Kind of a strange concoction but it has a really nice mesquite note to it.
