can, 50cl, bbf 2008.07.27 aroma has some spices in it, slightly sour too. but quite pleasing poured a giant white head, dwindling fast to a big head. clear yellow. flavor is slightly roasted which is a suprise. somewhat sweet too. palate is watery for a 5% beer. overall an intersting brew, but kinda weird. i can’t taste the alc. my first romanian beer, one more blue country for my stats.

Canned. Hazy deep golden, minimal head. Sweet and fruity. Medium bodied with strange blown up mouthfeel. Syrupy sticky sweetness, aggressive unpleasnat resiny bitterness. Salty and unrefined.

Canned. Pale yellow, minimal head- Syrupy metallic nose. Sweet and fruity with stale vegetables and cloying fruit soup and compost heap. Bizarre and anything but fresh.

Milder Antrunk, weich herb und wenig hopfig. Getreidig, weiter herb, kurzzeitig bitter werdend. Mild aber konstant, nicht wässrig. Im hinteren Mittelteil kurz schlaffer, im Abgang dann etwas knackiger. Durstlöschend. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 7,7,7,6,10,6 - 6,60

Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,8,8,9,6,8 - 7,75

Bottled (BB 03/2009)
Very dark ruby color, mostly vanishing tan head. Brown sugar aroma. Fizzy carbonation. Suprisingly not really sweet .. there is some molasses, but mainly flavor is dry, cardboardish and slightly licoricey. Good for being Romanian beer, but I like Silva Dark more.

Can (BB 10/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Light apple fruity aroma with hints of cardboard. Fizzy, light palate. Mostly flavor is dominated by sweet, alcoholic flavors. A bit malty, harsh finish. Another bulk lager from Ursus-line.

Bottled (BB 12/2008)
Main brand in Romania. Yellow color, not much head. Very grainy, corn-like aroma. Sweet corn-like maltyness, a bit grainy, harsh aftertaste. Crisp carbonation. About what I expected from Romanian big lager name. Green bottle doesn’t help either. (Similar flavor from tap as well)

50 cL can. Pours clear and pale yellow with a huge chalk white head. Light malt and vague hoppy aroma. Slight thin initial flavour, gains some malt flavours and a mild fruity note a bit further towards the finish. Holds a rather dry malt finish with a vague bitterness.
