(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly sweet and strawy malty aroma with grassy hops. Slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Quite empty, strawy malty taste with shy grassy accents; almost dry and slightly bitter and grassy hoppy finish. Totally bland but still drinkable Lager. 27.X.10

Small dark-cream head over totally deep-dark amber beer. Very demure nose with dark malts, and something lactic. There’s another aroma, that reveals itself in the mouth as green apple. Main taste is sweet-neutral. All in all a pretty dim stout, but there’s worse around.

Big bottle about 16 oz. Nice clean looken pale lager pilsner fer sure. Clean aroma too, no inkling of skunk here pal. Rolling CO2 visble. Oh yes, nice tasting but I can’t seem to say its much different than typical pale lagers. Its pilsner bite is much less than other beers I’ve tasted that have been classified as pilsner. Smooth and rather refreshing, pleasantly surprised. Goodly amount of pleasing CO2 on the tongue. I was expecting some kind bitter pale lager beer thing that is so common and typical from that part of the world. Perhaps this is what pilsner really should taste like? Pretty good over all. On the finish it tries to go into pilzy bite but never really gets there.

Bottle, at RBNAG-09. A clear, pale golden beer topped by a dense, off-white head. Burnt plastic notes on the aroma, with pale malts doing most of the job. Wet cardboard, hints of rubber, and fortunatesly also grains in the flavor. Dry, thin mouthfeel. Some bitterness in the finish. Definately not a clean and pleasant beer. 091107

500 ml can sampled@RBNAG 2009, Vatlandsvåg. Pale golden body with a white diminishing head. A vague and soapy aroma with some harshness. Flavor is light, a bit harsh and somehow with a kind of sticky sweetness without being malty. Not much flavor here, and the little flavor that’s present is a bit unpleasant.
