Dark ruby with nice creamy tanned head, lace. Malty, a bit sweet aroma. Medium to full bodied. Flavor has chocolate, malts and a bit of roast. Some bitter or even harsh notes can be found in a closer look. Good brew from Mack anyhow. (5/5/5/3/11 2.9)

33 cl bottle, served too cold at Lorry Restaurant, Oslo. Reddish brown colour, moderate to low head. Moderate malty aroma with notes of slightly burnt caramel, hints of tobacco. Disappointingly bland flavour, some malts and caramel, thin and watery mouthfeel. Low on hops. Little aftertaste.

Bottled. Dark brown. Aroma of malt and plums. Roasty and lightly vinous. Fairly light bodied, but with a lot of malt flavour. Dryish, yet with notes of honey and coffee. Not much bitterness. Flavourful and interesting. By far the best Mack beer I’ve had.

Bottled. Brown colour, small head. Nutty sweetish and lightly roasty. Some quality malt character, but a little too light. Slightly salty finish. A dunkel with good qualities, but lacking in body.

Canned (just labelled "Mack Ice"). Pale golden, brief dishwaterlike head. Fairly sweet with light papery maltiness. Light bodied with short but quite soft mouthfeel. No bitterness.

Bottled. Pale golden, airy head. Aroma of raisin and grassy hops. Light bodied and almost dry. Despite very low ABV not really thin. Some hops in a finish with near medium bitterness.
