330ml can. Cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, minimally sulphureous, white head. Concentrated, zesty, citrusy, hoppy aroma, notes of orange, tangerine, some blood orange, candied orange peel, imagined whiffs of olive oil. Taste is sweet, slightly sugary, pale malty and zesty, citrusy hoppy, notes of orange, mandarine, candied orange peel, some booze. Oily texture, smooth and soft, minimally cloying palate, fine carbonation. Nice hop flavours, but too sweet and too alcoholic in the end.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a reddish orange with a pinkish white head. Aroma is berry seed, tartness. Taste is nice tart tingly berries, raspberry most pronounced but that black currant is there as well.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, good tan head. Airy palate, mildly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Fluffy dark malts, nice chocolate fudge streak. Little fruity chocolate. Some marshmallow comes through on the light and semi dry finish. There is mellow but rich coffee that underpins it all. A little spice on the finish. Could be richer in the mouthfeel and perhaps a tad sweeter but this is a fine pastry stout.

Smell- medium strong, malt, caramel, a bit of roast, sweetness, alcohol, pleasant. Foam- thin, caramel, malt, acidic, alcohol, sweetness. The head is a tiny dark brown color, disappears fast. Appearance-brewer bottle cap and nice-looking label, a lot of little things on it. Very dark brown, but pretty much black. No carbonation. From - snifter Taste - sweet, alcohol, acidic tones, caramel, malt, more alcohol. Very sweet and malty with plenty of alcohol. I like sweet, but I guess it would be better if alcohol would be hidden by something. Still a very nice one.

Gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma of overripe (fermented) pineapple, grass. Taste is full of resin bitterness that veers a touch towards the artificial. Well balanced at the end by rising sweetness, although this also veers in an unfortunate, syrupy direction. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Still quite drinkable despite the warts.

Can picked up from Beer Republic, Breda, Netherlands drinking this sat outside at home Attenkirchen Sunday 19th April 2020 day 31 of Coronavirus lockdown. We're listening to Shame - Songs of Praise. Cooked homemade Pizza in the woodoven tonight and I made Rhubarb Crumble Ice Cream, btw it's yet another glorious day. Pours black with a light tan head. Mmhh..I probably shouldn't have had this after the dry stout, it tastes unbelievably sweet in comparison. Raspberry but a touch syrupy, chocolate and a little malty. Not really my thing, in all honesty I appear to somehow have picked up very few pastry stouts since the style became popular and on this showing I'm glad.
