Pours clear deep copper with off white head. The aroma is musty oxidized funky apricot moving into sour notes. The taste is aggressively tart then quickly becomes a bit fruity with apricot mixing with a mild level of crushed aspirin.

75 cL bottle, courtesy of Papsoe. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is citric, detergent like and barnyard. Spiced and fruity flavoured, citric and light sweet. Herbal touch. Spiced and citric finish.

Cloudy deep blond color; medium sized head. Herbal aroma, heather and rosemary, mild; light sourness. Sour fruity flavor, lemon, unripe plums, sour white wine. Correct bitterness, the final is quite citrusy, but somehow balanced. Well drinkable. Quite good.

cloudy orange, practically no head. nice mild sour base to some interesting aroma notes. citrus, bitterness (brett), flavor is sour, citrussy, brett, faint berries, wood. tastes really good, nice fresh winey notes from the grapes mixes very well with the sour notes, the sweeter notes balance.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Tweety. Pours a cloudy deep golden with an off-white head. Fruity and spicy nose. Medium body, very fruity and tart, not really lactic or Bretty, some vanilla and peaches. Ends very, very dry and tart although not exactly sour. Interesting and different. 230410

Bottle @ Miami Fandango ’10 gathering, received via BA trade. pours hazy golden, thin white head. Aroma, mild wood/oak nose with grape goodness adding a white wine aspect. Flavors, just love Cascade’s sour approach, lots of barrel in this one, yeasty, give the beer a few minutes to warm up and the grape really comes more forward. All of this is meshed with the oak barrel, giving it a very unique blend of light white wine boozy mouthfeel mixed with a lingering tartness and a grape finish. This is outstanding quality.

Dark red/brown. Fruit aroma and sourness, with brett yeast. Flavor is moderately sour, with a yeasty, brett finish. The oak is prominent. I don’t have a lot to say about this beer. It is very pleasant and enjoyable. Low carbonation. Much more in the vein of a Flanders sour than a lambic.

Short-lived beige head over faintly hazed (end of bottle fully yeasty) foxy-red beer. Light-sourish cherry nose, intensely fruity, perfumed. Very woody, fusely, and fruity flavour with obvious lactic acid. Fruit again reminiscent of (sour) cherries. Very tart, wry finish and aftertaste. Dry, even dry-out effect. Spritzy, lipsmacking acidity, long-lasting with yeast-notes in the aftertaste. Very good, equilibrated sour ale. Thanks a mill, DonS!

Many thanks, Don! Good head, yellow-beige, fast gone, however, over hazy amber-orange beer. Initially dried apricots with a waft of Brett. Brett takes the upper hand, mixing with alcohol, fusels and wood. Sour fruity taste (difficult to pinpoint - gooseberry?) with unmistakable Brett. Citrus peel, moulded lemon and again alcohol & fusels. Autumn leaves and, yes, apricots, finally. Tart, on the verge of astringent, but nowhere unpleasant. Very carbonated. Pleasing, if a tad overcarbonated fruity ale. Not for the fainthearted. And I keep hating waxed stops!

pours orange, white head Aroma of fruity apricot, tart with nice nose of wood barrel/oak. Apricot are not too present but really add this nice fresh fruit element. Flavors, nice apricot freshness, lively sourness blended well with the oaky barrel mouthfeel Fizzy carbonation, lingering sour/tart fruit flavors. Warming abv palate and the apricot and wood complement each other nicely.
