Swong top bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque orangey amber with a lacing, off-white head. Malty nose, somewhat tired hops. Rather full and rich malty body, dry caramel with a bitter finish. Way over rated here. 130424

Bottle at Base Camp. Lovely clear coppery body, off-white head. Big cookie-cake maltiness, with caramel, bit fruity. Smooth, sweetish but fairly lean malty taste, cookie dough, vague hop bitterish touch. This is pretty good stuff I reckon, kinda lost itself in the finish, but otherwise a tasty specialty malt showcase!

500ml bottle. Cloudy, orange golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, white head. Tropical fruity hoppy aroma, sweet-ish, pale malty background, notes of pineapple, mandarine, mango. Taste is sweet-ish, biscuity, pale malty and tropical fruity, mildly bitter hoppy, notes of mango, mandarine, some pineapple. Minimally oily, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Mild and mellow, fairly fruity - enjoyable.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark ruby colour with average, frothy to macropore, rapidly diminishing, beige head. Weak, mellow, dark malty and caramel malty aroma, hints of malt lozenge. Taste is caramel malty and slightly toasty, dark malty, notes of malt lozenge, hints of caramel, dark caramel, minimally fruity and floral hoppy overtones; a minimally warming, alcoholic touch in the finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and minimally cloying palate, medium, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Homogeneous and harmonious, but also rather monotonous - a bit underwhelming.
