Description

We brouwen ons bier volgens de slogan "Beer for Thought".

Can at CBJ tasting, thanks to me. Clear dark amber beer, small bubbly pale tan head. Smooth palate, soft, decent fine carbonation. Soft dark malts, a little dark malt cream. Salted caramel coming through on the back end. Some mellow woody barrel and oak induced vanilla on the back end. Nice beer but frankly impossible to discern the barleywine style.

Black and thick as it can get with a small dark head. Mouth is like syrup. Dark malts, chocolate, molasses, oak, a hint of roast, and spicy heat from some black pepper notes. Finish is long and both sweet and spicy. Very interesting and fun. A bit tricky to kill a whole can myself- wish I had shared this with a few others!

Clear dark brown to black beer, small aery irregular beige head, unstable, dissipates quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet impression, lots of caramel, syrupy, a bit oxidized, chocolate, dried fruits, blueberry jam, fake chocolate. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: good roast, lots of alcohol, very sugary, a bit oxidized, lots of vanilla and caramel, sweet chocolate, quite some alcohol, nice roast. Aftertaste: a little nutty, sweet, gentle roast, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, nice soft acidity, a bit too sweet, but still pretty decent!

(Draft at Gollem Craft Beers, Amsterdam, 22 Feb 2025) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity nose with notes of peaches, mixed fruit, white bread and hay. Fruity taste with peaches, orange, ripe pineapple, white bread, herbs, dough and a mild citric/tropical bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.
