8 3 9 4 17 Draft at Brewda '17, super fresh on the day of release! Cloudy golden orange with a white head. Aroma of big citra upfront with dank hops, orange and tropical fruits. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter. Medium bodied with a light hop burn in the finish and soft carbonation. Not so balanced as many NE IPAs which seem to lack much bitterness, but for me this works better. Another great IPA from Frontaal.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, full sized fluffy white head. Aroma and flavor both are nicely hoppy, lightly wheat, quite refreshing, lightly bitter. Decent body and moderate carbonation. Quite nice.

Bottle @ home. Hazy light orange color, medium sized white head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is malts, orangepeel hoppiness at first. After a while though, the aroma changes and becomes more resinous, or actually more piney. Taste malts, resin, pine spruce, piney hop bitter. Nice, even though it started out a bit meh!

Bottle. Color: Hazy golden, frothy white head. Taste: Grassy and citrus hops, notes of yellow and tropical fruits. Very drinkable and refreshing ipa. Pretty long lasting citrus hoppy finish. Below medium body, medium carbonation.

Hazy peachy golden pour with a long-lasting white head. Notes of orange zest, caramelized oranges, citrus, tropical fruit, a bit of melon, passion fruit. The smell is spot on, but the overall tasting notes are somewhat lacking in NE characteristics, being a bit too malty and not too rich in hops. Still, a very good IPA and a decent step towards the New England style.

At Gents Bierfestival. Imperial stout from this young craft brewery in Breda, with thin, pale greyish beige head and cloudy chocolate brown colour with warmer bronze hue. Aroma of hazelnuts, coffee grounds, raw red cabbage, pear, dried plum. Fruity onset, quite some out of place sourishness (brambleberry juice), sweetness of banana, pear and fig, softish carbo, creamy mouthfeel; nutty and caramelly malt body, rather straightforward and not quite thick and oily enough for the intended style, bit powdery towards the end with some herbal hop notes, not providing sufficient bitterness; some coffee grounds roasted notes lingering. Needs more body, more ’blackness’ and a lot of finetuning.

Draft. An amber beer with a beige head: The aroma has notes of lacto, bread, and caramel. The flavor is lemons, lacto, caramel, and straw, leading to a tart finish.

From tap. Poura hazy brown to deep amber. Small white head. Aroma is wineous and fruity. Wooden, wineous and fruity. Dry, sourish fruity. Lingering fruity, sourish and dry finish. medium dry and fruity finish.

Thank you for sharing RB Crew! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ GBF 2017. Dark brown to black, little head. Nose is overly herbal, cheap cocoa, cacao, thin umami. Taste is chocolate, herbal mocha, overly sweet liquorice, middling beer but the sour finish ruin it. Thin bodied for the style with sour finish.
