Bottle [gift from the brewer] @ home. Opaque dark brown to red-brown color, virtually no head. Aroma is malts, some caramel and firm barrel aging in there. Taste malts, bourbon, alcohol, dark fruits lightly, quite bitter finish. Full body, medium carbonation. Heavy but good!

Tasted from the tap on the 08/07/2016 at Caminha Artbeerfest. Hazy orange to amber colour with a medium off-white head. Aroma of wheat, light tart, light orange peel and malts. Taste is yeasty and malty. Aftertaste is light to medium bitter with some fruits on it. Next one please!

Bottle at home. Aroma is strong roasted malt, dark bread, lots of coffee, even more liquorice, charcoal, touch of dark chocolate and hops in the finish. Flavour is sweet with a moderate roasty hoppy bitterness and a long bittersweet aftertaste. Body is medium, a bit thin for the style. Good beer but hardly one of my favourite Imperial Stouts, it’s way too thin and too heavy on the liqourice.

Hazy brown with thick creamy head. Aroma and flavour are full with bittersweet roasted malts. Very smooth texture. Some dark chocolate and coffee-like bitterness in the finish.
