Description
After approaching my family about the idea of setting up a micro-brewery on the family farm we started to get our plan together. We spent a year learning, researching, volunteering and sampling beers from all over and took the plunge in 2012 to return to Suffolk and make the dream a reality.
Matt Hammond originally founded the brewery as Shortts Farm Brewery but dropped Farm from the brewery name in 2015.

Cask at Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Aroma is malty with a hint of spice. Clear light brown. Translucent white bubbly head soon recedes. Medium bitter sour tinged Underlying malty sweetness then flows through. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry finish. Pleasent if unexciting.

9/9/2022. Bottle shared by SHIG, cheers. Pours black with a small frothy beige coloured head. Aroma is roasted malt, milk chocolate, caramel, coffee, molasses, nut. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Nice roasted finish. Well done, and the most enjoyable I've had from this brewery.

500ml bottle, batch 466, bought at Beautiful Beers. Shared with Finn. Firm white head leaving crocheted lacing on the glass, near-clear golden-brown body. Inviting smell of citrus, grapefruit to the fore. Grapefruit and mandarin to the taste profile followed by a rounded ending of citrus peels. Pretty good.
