Light brown/orange colour. Thick head. Acidic barnyard-aroma. Well-balanced apple-sourish flavour with a nice raisin-sweetness lurking in the background.

Bottle. Sour, musty/dirt (a sandy loam)dusty malt aroma. Dark amber color - slightly cloudy with giant head that quickly collapses. Moderate tart malt flavor - not puckeringly sour - mustiness apparent throughouth with the slightest hint of sweetness. Well blended - no flavor tends to overpower this lambic. A nicely drinkable brew.

Two ratings, one for beer from before and one from after the take over.
Rating from 2007, beer from after the take over, sampled at ZBF 2007, Sint-Niklaas, Belgium
Hazy, blond body. Off-white, creamy head. Quite lightly coloured for a gueuze. Aroma of fruits, apples, oak, ... wonderful! Lightly bitter, moderately sour flavour, which is very complex and very well balanced. Great! (9/3/9/4/16=4.1)
Rating from 2004 Blond clear body. White, fizzy head, mostly lasting and fairly lacing. Traditional gueuze aroma: fruity sour. Quite soft mouthfeel. Lightly sour initial flavour and lighty sour finish. (9/3/8/3/16=3.9)

An unclear red with no head. The aroma is of sweet cherry. The flavor is sweet and sour of cherries. A lovely beer. A lot better than the first time I tried it (at the brewery 2 years ago} - my tastebuds must hav evolved.

The aroma is fruity and sour and a little old. The color is a clear orange and it has a beutiful lasting head. The flavor is nicely sour with woody notes - it has a crisp dry finish. A great Geuze. Too bad they had to close.

sweetish cidery nose, a bit leather and hay as well. Amber/orange, champagne pearls, low but stable head. quite subdued flavors - I really had to go looking for them: A bit barnyard, some roses, apples, lemons - but low acidity. Light mouthfeel, even a bit watery. I don't know, somehow this wasn't the big epiphany for me - I think I will let the second bottle sit for a year or two and try again....

Bottle best before 2023 Sweet cherries, raspberries and light lactic acid in the aroma. Neon bordeaux color with a nice pink head. Great balance - no hiding the good stuff behind artificial sweetness here: Ultradry lactic base - the finer notes become appareant with each sip. Subtle notes of cherries, raspberries, lemonoil, rough wood Flowery when exhaling. Extremely dry mouthfeel with a tingle on the tounge, afterwards it feels like you have been licking tje trunk of a cherry tree.
