The aroma is fruity and sour and a little old. The color is a clear orange and it has a beutiful lasting head. The flavor is nicely sour with woody notes - it has a crisp dry finish. A great Geuze. Too bad they had to close.

sweetish cidery nose, a bit leather and hay as well. Amber/orange, champagne pearls, low but stable head. quite subdued flavors - I really had to go looking for them: A bit barnyard, some roses, apples, lemons - but low acidity. Light mouthfeel, even a bit watery. I don't know, somehow this wasn't the big epiphany for me - I think I will let the second bottle sit for a year or two and try again....

Bottle best before 2023 Sweet cherries, raspberries and light lactic acid in the aroma. Neon bordeaux color with a nice pink head. Great balance - no hiding the good stuff behind artificial sweetness here: Ultradry lactic base - the finer notes become appareant with each sip. Subtle notes of cherries, raspberries, lemonoil, rough wood Flowery when exhaling. Extremely dry mouthfeel with a tingle on the tounge, afterwards it feels like you have been licking tje trunk of a cherry tree.

Probably the best gueuze i've had. Golden color, medium white head. Aroma is old gueuze, oak, apple, melon. Bit sweet, bit sour taste, maybe a bit more watery not as sticky taste and palate as some other gueuzes like the Girardin.

Bright pinkish-red, looks more raspberryish. Average sized white frothy head. Medium cloudiness. Smells very tart, lots of hops and yeast, the cherries are there, but they are very dry and sharp. Begins very sharp, dry, tart with a good tart, lightly acidic cherry flavor that sours towards finish. The finish gets very complex with a heavier, chewier texture that surprisingly does resemble some old french cheese flavors, more the mouthfeel and micro-organism flavor, haha, dosent actually taste like blue cheese. Anyways, I think this is still extremely young, but very promising, could use more malt, it is overly dry, but maybe that will emerge somewhat as it ages.

Red colour, like blood, very pink foam. Sour, cherry aroma. Dry cherry flavour and a dry aftertaste. But still sour. I heard soon the last vats will be bottled.

Medium yellow with some gold hues and even some light orange tints, quite hazy. Tons of foamy white head. Smells tart and yeasty. Lots of lemon and some peppery spice aroma. Begins medium tart with some nice dry grainy malt and hops but quickly blooms into a bigger juicy malt and yeast body. Lemon, mild citrus and some spices, with medium carbonation on the palate make for quite a lively beer. Flavor has ample tart lambic flavor but is wonderfully balanced by a sweeter, light candied flavor. Stays very juicy through the finish, with quite a complex finish. Initially has some problems with carbonation and astringency, with quite a bitter palate, but this is much ameliorated by the sweeter sugar flavor and bigger finish, the sugary taste would get a bit cloying if you drank more than one of these, I’d imagine. I really appreciated that the flavor crescendoed as the beer finished and a wonderful aftertaste lingered. Too many beers do quite the opposite. Rerate. Not quite as wonderful as the last bottle. Still a very apple and sulphur nose, which I like, but the flavor tapered off too much towards the end of the glass. Body not quite as hearty as I remembered. Finish gets a bit lost amid water, lightly sweet something, and wheat dryness.

[Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival 2003] An unclear orange head with a small bubbly head. The aroma is sour and sweet with metal notes. The flavor is also sour and sweet with metal notes. It was not nearly as sour as I remember it from a visit to the brewery 1½ years ago (before I joined Ratebeer) - there it was gut-wrenching sour

Minus the fruit, it is easier to "get" the flavor of these Oud Beersel lambics. Pours a golden/orange color with a thin white head and tight carbonation. Aroma is sour and tangy with a hint of musty cheese (you know, the "crust" of brie, etc.). Flavor is a rich ensemble of tang, tart, sour, must, wood, and cheese crust. Strange yet addicting.

Well, the cherries are omnipresent in the rich red body and pink head, but surprisingly restrained in the flavor. I figured it was about time to try a lambic, and luckily I picked a good one. Vinous, tart aroma. Flavor is sour, tart and fruity smooth with musty notes reminiscent of brie cheese crust. Quite a change of pace from the usual fare.
