Fun initial smell, with cherry and anise. Definitely clove, florals. The smell is quite pleasant. Unfortunately, the mouth feel is a hot mess. Like wild yeast got into some water that collected under your spice rack. Doesn't come together well at all. Too bad, because the initial smell is great. Tap at Churchkey.

(Bag-in-box) Hazy pale amber colour with no head. Fruity nose with citrus, grapefruit, apples, herbs, funk and juniper berries. Fruity, tart taste with notes of citrus, grapefruit, funk, wood, apples, herbs, juniper berries and a generous acidity in the finish. No bitterness. Medium body, dry. Tasty, with a refreshing acidity and a gentle juniper touch. Very nice.

Draught Small whitish rim over faintly veiled orange-golden beer. Rainwater, wood, young leaves, citruspeel and, yes, yuzu, imagine. Dry, lambic with outspoken dry-out effect, tannine-rich, old barrels, hints of old, dry sherry. Light body, strange wheat-lik slickness, low carbonation. In the end, quite good lambic, but as usual, the yuzu remains fairly discreet.

0.75 l bottle from 'Rebelbeercans', 2023 vintage, bottled in May 2023. Slightly hazy, golden with a medium large, slightly fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sourish, rather funky, quite fruity and a bit vinous aroma of overripe lemon, horse blanket, hay, leather, oak and light gooseberry. Minimally sweet, gently sour, rather fruity, gently funky and slightly vinous taste of overripe lemon, oak, leather, hay, some white grapes and light gooseberry, followed by a medium long, gently tart, fairly woody-dry and a little peppery finish. Medium body, gently astringent and rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Massively refreshing, very well-balanced brew. Tastes pretty much like a Geuze, not very vinous, but almost feels like a sparkling wine.

Actually pretty nice, easy drinking. No carbo. Light sour, hint of acetic.actually more cherry than I expected from just wood. Interesting, good.

Spectacular deep cardinal red to magenta, clear beer with a small pink rim. Fruit and horseblanket in perfect balance, intense, intense sour cherries and their skins. Sour, pure natural sour cherries, and unbelievably intense. Warming up, the acidity gets a light lemony streak, nowhere agressive. Still really tart, yet immensly satisfying; lipsmacking acidity, yet a fruitjuice viscosity. Awfully expensive when 'young', but worth every penny. Officialy this beer was a couple of months past best before date. The idea that such a kriek can only age for 7 years beggars belief. Txs to Stef!
