Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 29th December 2010. Copper with thin foam. Malty aroma then rather bitter in-mouth; back-of-mouth bitterness and grapefruit notes, before a lingering bittersweet aftertaste. Light mouthfeel.

Cask @ GBBF 10, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear dark black brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20100803]

On gravity at the Three Tuns, Bristol 21/12/10. Deep gold in colour with a lick of a white head. Aroma of tangerines and pineapple with some grapefruit in the background. Flavour had lots of citrus hops, with a solid malt backbone and very long, bitter finish. An excellent IPA that avoided sticky sweetness.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 21/12/10. Golden in colour with a slight white head. Aroma of grapefruit, with some floral notes and a touch of sweetness. Flavour was dominated by more grapefruit, with some decent balancing malts and lengthy, dry finish. Good.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tins, Bristol 23/11/10. Copper coloured with a decent, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of caramel and orange fruit, with some floral hops. Flavour began with more fruit and sweet malts, before some citrus hops and a lingering, bitter finish. Good.

Thanks to Nate who brought this hand bottled from The Rake to The Cask Pub & Kitchen. Very dark brown thin beige head. Decent black IPA. Roasted malt aroma along with the hops. Lovely. Good bitter finish. Lacked a touch of condition from the hand bottling. I have had Raven in this pub which was better than this
