On tap at the brewery. Brown with off white head. Malty, caramel, sweetish, some toffee. Medium bodied. Pretty clean.

Draft pint at Goldfinger on its first day on tap. a beautifully hazy gold color, with a very puffy head that keeps rising above the rim of the glass. The smell is, admittedly, a basic lager smell, with a bit more toast to the malts and a slight edge of unfiltered yeast. The taste is just slightly grainy, on top of a fine bready malt, then a side of lemon peel. Seemed filling at first, but it's going down a lot more easily the further I go.

Draft at GF's Lagerversary. Yeasty nose is the first thing that comes up. Suitably Golden color under a thin layer of foam. First taste has plenty of noble and peppery hops, the later being what I'm thinking Polish hops might do for a beer. Dry hoppy aftertaste on my tongue. A few sips on, the smell has more dry hop to it. Rather knocks down any specific maltiness, but that's what a dry hop style will do for you. --- Beer merged from original tick of (collab with) Bierstadt Lagerhaus Italian Pils on 06 Aug 2022 at 18:07 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8.5. Original review text: Draft at Goldfinger's 2nd Lagerversary. Golden color in plastic cup, with a short, creamy looking head. Smell had mellow malts and hops, perhaps even a bit of Czech style Pilsner. Although the Tomyski hops are a Polish varietal. Taste has a nice floral and aromatic character. I guess the dry hopping is part of the Italian pilsener process, and it does show. Begins to show a bit of citrus further down. Like many GF beers, it's got more texture than a lawnmower beer for slamming. But as it happens, I was just mowing the lawn…

Pour is a hazy copper with a large white head. Aroma is a nice toasted caramel malt. Flavor is more toasted caramel malt with a super spicy hop profile. Finish leaves a lot of toasted wheat bread on the tongue. This was one of the better Vienna's I've had in a long time.

First day on draft at Goldfinger. Bright clear straw color with a short-lived foamy head. Smell is light lager malts and some fresh yeast. Crackery malt taste, very light. Probably their lightest abv beer yet. Hops might not be very distinguishable, but they are keeping down what could be some malt sweetness. Malty and yeasty aftertaste.

Draught at Logjammin: copper with white head. Aroma is caramel and grain. Taste is light hops, little sweetness. Solid.

Draft at Goldfinger. Kind of a hazy gold pour and a thin, lacy head. Smell carries up some malt and a bit of flowers. Pilsner-ish malts on the tongue. Thick mouthfeel of a higher alcohol drink, but without any alcohol burn. Looks like the haze and taste comes from some yeast still in the beer.

16oz can. Sort of an odd example of the style, not really nailing it which is surprising for Goldfinger. Sort of pear-like odd aroma. Hops are a little muted for the style. Just has some flavors that don't seem appropriate, strange malt tone. Disappointing.

16oz can. The first few sips didn't really blow me away, but the more I drink it the more I love it. Such excellent balance. Slightly cloudy orange-tan body, lighter than typical Vienna. Really sublime malt tone, earthy, doughy. Simple but awesome.
