16oz can. World Class awesome stuff. Roasty sweet chocolate malt tone. Barely any trace of alcohol. Pretty much perfect.

The usual good light lager color, a head that's leaving behind some lace. I am imagining I do catch some oak wood on the nose. Taste is nice and mellow, almost like a store-bought light lager, but with extra malt and taste. Interesting that I think I'm actually tasting oak. In memory of, what, a tongue depressor? Some woody resin? Either way, it adds a bit of sharpness to the taste.

Fresh 16 oz can, bought as it went on tap today. Very slight haze in a good beer or, puffy white head. The initial noise is light on malts, but they're still there. Instead of the usual peppery European hop, there's a very light gritty nose of hard candy. Taste is dry like a lager, a bit perfumey like a Pilsner Urquell. Again, a bit of fruit or candy, but in the background. Another subtle variation on Goldfinger's light lagers.

2023 version. 5.9%. 6 month lagering. Simple, but sublime. Awesome, smooth malt tones. Very sessionable still, clean and lovely. Perfect bready malt tone. Delicate hop balance. Really good stuff.

Draft at Goldfinger's Lagerversary. Same smoked ham smell of their other smoked beers. Golden beer color under a thin head. Can't deny the smoked malt taste, but all the Helles lager character is there, too. Good lawnmower beer malts, but a little thicker to go up against the snake. Had a great balance, though you still have to like smoked beer too enjoy it.

Draft at Goldfinger's Lagerversary. Foamy parfait head. Golden beer body, pretty clear. Smell has cereal malt and maybe some other grains going on. Not much hop at this moment. Nicely hearty taste. Plenty of bready barely malt. Grits add to the fulfillingness. No unnecessary sweetness; instead, there's a balance from how. Maybe Centennial and Cascade. Would love to see this come around more often!

Draft at Goldfinger. Clear gold, with a few lazy bubbles under a parfait-like head. Soft water nose of a Bohemian Pils. The taste is full of bubbly pinpricks. There's a bit of noble hop pepper plus tropical fruit. Generous bitterness is the equal of the toasty malt. Kind of a creamy finish.

.5 l draft after cleaning out the car. Gotta get into the right frame of mind, somehow. Gold to amber color, thick head that's dwindling slowly. Hoppy and malty beer smell. Can't call the taste anything but crisp. A bit more German hop sharpness than I'd expect from a lighter lager. Kind of peppery to go with the bitterness. Ready to drink, yet worth sipping. It's just a bit hearty and filling. Only taking the testing down a notch for some yeast that might want to settle out some more.

.3 l draft at Goldfinger. A brassy bright beer, under a puffy head. Nose has a mild German hop nose. So I should be noticing the heritage malts. So, I'll say they're noticeably chewy or hearty. The Saaz does its usual spicy job, and then there's just a touch more bitterness. Pretty full-bodied for something just under 5%, less than their regular Vienna. Just got a taster of the regular Vienna, and this does make it taste more like a basic light lager in comparison. No, Vienna had a little more hop pepper, and they alternate the salty note of softened water.

.5 l at Goldfinger. Bright but kind of hazy gold, one finger of white foam. A standard and familiar beer smell of toasted malts, just a slight hop edge. I gotta mark the taste slightly higher because it's solidly on the light Euro lager style. Clean beer taste like grandpa used to swig. Light maltiness held back by an equally light hop load. No mistake, this is solid flavor with no overdrive malt or hop where's.
