Description
Geert Demuynck started in 1981 with the national Belgian broadcaster BRT. As a non-beer drinker, he and his colleagues went to the Koekoek in Asse where they served a flat beer (lambic) from a wooden barrel. The interest in lambic, Oude Geuze (Gueuze), Oude Kriek and derivatives was a fact. A lot of research was done, many lambic breweries were visited and participated in events.
Things picked up speed around 2006 and soon after that the guiding started.

2021 was the year when everything got even more intense. Publitasting started. In addition to his own activities, Geert was also active at Brouwerij Timmermans, Devillé and Angerik and a collaboration was started with Brouwerij Eylenbosch, which became the main activity. With its own Stekerij Publitasting, it is the intention to only develop products and make limited editions.

Bottle shared at Gent tasting. Clear orangy amber color, small white head. Smell and taste are a really pleasant mix of fruit, light sourness, fruity sour. A slight touch of sweetness. Hars to describe but a very pleasant mix. Don't specifically get star anise but the beer is lovely.

Bottle at Gent tasting, present for the first time since ages! Unclear yellow to orange color, small white head. Smell and taste are both basil and sourness. Can't really describe it other that this way. Don't get much more. Quite nice though.

4/III/23 - 75cl bottle @ BBGG Winter 2023 ed. (Tim’s place), BB: 31/XII/26, B001 (2023-188) Thanks to Bierridder_S for sharing the can!

Pretty cloudy orange blond beer, big aery and a bit irregular white head, stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very funky, a bit sourish impression, rather vegetal. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, funky, lots of tannins, wood notes, a weird touch, a bit medicinal. Aftertaste: funky, lemony, sourish, wood notes.

Bottle (37,5cl). Color: Hazy golden, long lasting dense white head. Aroma: Basilicum, tart, funky hints. Taste: Moderate to over moderate tart. Starting quite herbal, Basilicum. Quickly going to a dry, nicely balanced mix of Basilicum, tartness, straw, rural funk, some wood and citrus hints. Once again a very nice blend, Geert!

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Tart, horse stable funk. Taste: Tart, vinegar notes, rabarber, sour berries, hay, farm yard funk more subtle in the taste than in the aroma. Some oak wood, tannins. Dry mouthfeel. Over moderate tart with some medium tart 'vinegar' moments. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice one from this new star among the Geuze blenders.

Receding off-white head over almost clear metallic orange beer; no visible carbonation. Pure horseblanket/barnyard/wild yeastcascade for the nose. Very tart, almost puckeringly sour. After some time, the notion "sour vegetables" becomes rhubarb, unsweetened. Not much else but some lambic/barnyard notes. Serious acidburn and -thinning. Despite the bottling being relatively recent, all fermentables - on Brett scale - have been used. Medium carbonation, lipsmacking acidity, dry-out effect. Harsh, but one for the real aficionados. Maybe a bit more blending with malse lambic might have corrected the overall impression.
