We chose Latvian word Ārpus for the name of our brewery, as its meaning reflects the types of beers we brew - outside the box, beyond the mass made lagers, beers with overwhelming flavours and aromas for people brave enough to step out of their comfort zone.
The brewery is located just outside Riga (Latvia), equipped with a 10hL brewhouse and 20hL fermentation vessels. Our beer is packaged in 440mL cans and KeyKegs, then stored in a cold room to keep it fresh longer.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a rich, lacing white head. Herbal, earthy hop aroma. Rich, sweet, malty and fruity body with a dank, bitterish finish. Ella is a rather crude and insignificant bittering hop and I have no clue why to brew a beer emphasizing that. 120719

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Spicy hop aroma. Rich, malty and fruity sweet body. Subtle hop notes and a rich, boozy finish. Arpus, try coming up with real names for your beers. Imagine this conversation: Hey, by the way, did you try the new DDH Citra BBC DIPA from Arpus. See? 120719

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing, white head. Spicy, herbal hop aroma. Fruity, initially sweet but turns drier, subtle hop notes and a rather insignificant finish. Not really all that inspired. 120719

330ml bottle. Murky amber colour with small, immediately collapsing (white?) head. Fruity hoppy and spicy aroma, notes of apple, baked apple, pear, physalis, vanilla, overtones of red berries. Taste is fruity hoppy, notes of red berries, strawberry, raspberry, some red currant, vanilla, a touch of apple, baked apple. Prickly carbonation.

Keg @ Coracle, Ironbridge. Pours opaque gold, grainy malt on the nose. Smooth with shredded wheat, grain, soft citrus, expected more hop presence for a DDH, but it's pleasant enough.

Bottle, 6%. Unclear yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, citrus, tropical fruit and pineapple. Flavour is malt, fruit, hops, citrus, tropical fruit, medium sweet, little pineapple and a little bitter.
