From tap at Planet Oedipus 2018. Very oaky aroma with tartish fruits, lots of wood and dried red fruits. Flavour is light sweet and sourish, finish is fairly dry. I did not find the body lacking. Nice Sour Red on oak, I like this.

The addition of milk/lactose is very thin. The ingredient is listed as last, the hazyness is lower than typical milkshake IPAs, still, texturally, this plays in the correct field.

Tap at Hopstore. Hazy amber. Quite some rye, light earthy, cocoa, peach, orange, spruce. Medium sweet and solid bitter. Medium bodied.

Petite Provence Tasting - many thanks to Lander for sharing! Hazy ochre, small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of pineapple, yellow nectarine, blood orange, kiwi, mandarin peel. Taste has sour mandarin, blood orange & kiwi, touch of sweetish pineapple in a sourdough-like malt body, slightly lactic. Grassy hoppy finish, citric acid, some funky hay. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. A pleasant surprise.

Il est surprenant de voir un brasseur spécifier sa bière comme étant un Sorachi Stout, alors qu'à la dégustation celle-ci est nettement une Black IPA. Plutôt bonne même cette IPA, avec une amertume bien ciselée avec des arômes de résineux, d'agrumes et de mangue alliée à une base torréfiée sur la noisette grillée couplée à un léger chocolat au lait. Côté visuel, nous sommes sur un brun foncé surmonté par une mousse crémeuse brun clair avec une très forte effervescence. Le nez est sur une alliance résineux, malt grillé (notamment noisette) avec un léger chocolat au lait. Dès lors on se questionne sur ce stout qui n'en semble pas un. Tout cela se confirme à la dégustation qui est malheureusement troublée par une effervescence trop poussée. L'ensemble reste agréable toutefois avec une amertume bien mise en avant, une base d'une bonne intensité même si celle-ci reste relativement simple et un alcool, à 5,5 % qui tient la route. L'attaque présente directement une amertume vive, quelque peu astringente avec des arômes de résineux, d'agrumes et de mangue devant ceux torréfiés. La deuxième bouche est à l'identique avec une amertume ne fléchissant pas. L’arrière-bouche est avant tout sur le résineux sur une bonne présence et intensité. Le final, nous laisse sur une amertume sèche, d'une longueur convenable. Black IPA sympathique.
