Cask @ Barton Arms, Worsley. Almost black, but very dark with a creamy off-white head. Has lovely roasted malt notes with a full coffee aroma but chocolates in its taste.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2014. Pale golden coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is sharp lemon, bit of floral, OK. Flavour is medium pale base malt, honeysuckle, floral. Nice and sessuonable with a decent hop presence. Palate is medium light and decent airy carbonation. Pretty tasty.

Cask at Nicolson’s canary wharf. Opaque black with a lasting creamy light tan head. Aroma is nice woody, fried fruits and soft toasty roast malts. Flavour is well rounded brown toasted roast malt with nice berry and dried fruits. Palate is medium bodied with moderate carbonation and slightly creamy on the tongue.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - bright golden with a proportionate head. Nose - dank and malty. Where’s the citrus. Taste - bitterness but no floral or citrus hop flavours. Palate - light to medium bodied with a dry texture and a long dry finish. Overall - if an alien landed on earth and this was his first American pale ale he would’ve had a poor representation of the style.

Bottle shared with AshtonMcCobb. I’m too Sussexy for this Tasting. Pours clear amber with little to no head. Aromas of dank malt. Taste is light sweet, astringent bitter. Not much hop character apart from an over-powering bitterness and astringent malts. Not faulty, just not a great recipe.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - amber with steady bubbles and a lovely fluffy head. Nose - nuts and biscuits. Honey. Taste - Hobnobs. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - slightly over carbonated. But still enjoyable. A lot of taste for4%.

Bottle shared with AshtonMcCobb. I’m too Sussexy for this Tasting. Pours amber with a thin off-white head. Aromas of nuts, oat biscuits. Taste is light spice bitter, light caramel. Bit over-carbonated, but not bad.

Cask @ The Waterhouse, Manchester. Clear deep golden with a small creamy head. Has a sweet bubble-gum fruitiness in both its aroma and taste and certainly some pineapple in here too. The citrus is certainly light and not soured.
