Cask (handpump) @ The Sir Christopher Hatton, 4 Leather Lane, Chancery Lane, Greater London England EC1N 7RA. [ As Long Man Long Blonde ].Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, pale malt, fruity, fruity hops, citrus notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20140414]

cask@Waterfront bar and restaurant, Streatham (9/3/2014) - pours a nice amber colour with a persistent white head and lacing. Aroma and taste is fresh hoppy, some citrus mandarin, a great floral character, toasty caramel malts, slight toffee, refreshing and great condition. Impressive. Lovely drop!

cask@Waterfront Bar, Streatham - pours brown with a healthy beige head. Toasty caramel malts, slight toffee, nutty, earthy and herbal notes, slight floral hoppyness in there as well, good bitter finish. Decent brew.

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW - London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a frothy white head. Rindy citrus in the nose with hints if dried out pale malts. Light sweet flavor with fairly harsh bitter straw, grass, lemon rind, low sweetness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Dirty bitter hay to finish, more grass, husky grains, rind. Meh. Shabby.

Fra cask på Peacock, Nottingham 25 Jan 14. Gyldenbrun. Høyt tett, skinnende hvitt skum med gardinlacing. Svakt syrlig fruktaroma. Innholdsrik smak. Rabarbra. Frukt. Avslutter litt tørt.

Cask at JDW Charlie Hall; pale amber pour with a small white head, only a tiny hint of citrus in the aroma, taste as with the aroma, is very unexciting, pale malts with a hint of hop and mild bitter finish.

Hand-pulled half-pint in ’The Old Blenheim’ Oxford on 23rd Nov 13, the pub crawl was in full swing when this arrived in front of me. Copper bronze body with a white crown that produced some good lacing as the beer level dropped. The nose was of sweet grains with yeast and fruit esters. The taste was a good blend of flavours, nothing strong, powerful or original: just a well balanced Pale Ale with enough hops to keep the sweet malts in check and give a dry, semi-bitter finish. Overall a pleasant half pint: I’d have had another, but we were on a mission and couldn’t linger longer on a single beer or pub.

On gravity at Swindon Beer Festival, 24/10/2013. Medium brown with a slight, off-white head. Chocolate, rich dark fruits, brown sugar and a gentle finish. Very drinkable.

Cask at the Wenlock Arms, London on 29th September 2013. Amber with thin whitish ring and scant lace. Biscuit malt and tangerine aroma. Citrus grapefruit and tangerine in-mouth, and increasingly bitter finish, awash with fruitiness. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.
