Description
A farm brewery in Caledon, Ontario. Troy Baxter, Mike Nuttall and Grace Wilkinson make hoppy, hazy ales in small batches that sell out as fast as they can make them. We specialize in IPA, but we also have a deep affinity for farmhouse ales, crispy lagers and mixed fermentation sours.
We used to brew on a small, inefficient 100ish liter brew house in an old retrofitted calf barn. It was a lot of work, but it's all we could afford to get this thing started without investors. Now we mostly brew on a bigger, sort of more efficient brewery.
Since day one we have believed in the same fundamentals: quality and freshness above all else. Our mission is to get our beer to your mouth when it's at it's best!

(500ml bottle from the brewery) Hazy deep yellow pour with a small but stable white head and lace. Aroma of mandarin, citrus peels, floral tropical fruit, moderate weed, sweet brioche malt, fruity esters, grapefruit pulp. Flavour is quite sweet up front with mandarin, candied orange, papaya, some 'red' tropical fruit/berries, soft dank weedy notes, brioche malt, again sweet fruity esters into the finish, cirus peels and rindy red tropical fruits, very low bitterness, slight touch of alcohol. Light to medium bodied for style but with a fluffy creamy smooth texture and low carbonation that feels nice to drink. Another winner from Badlands, even if it's a touch sweet.

(500ml bottle from the brewery) Pours opaque slightly murky pale orange with a small white head that fades without lace. Aroma has a base of sweet peach and yellow mango overlaid with passionfruit on the sweeter side itself and 'red' tropical fruit like lychee, aromatic citrus peels and a little orange pulp. Flavour is a bit drier than the aroma suggests with more passionfruit and lychee, guava and a base of orange and grapefruit with mango accents, touches of fruity cannabis, clean pale malt with soft esters and a smooth nearly dry low bitterness finish with lingering fruit and no hop burn. Medium-plus body for ABV with a smooth creamy pillowy mouthfeel. Luscious stuff for a single IPA, just about as saturated and balanced as you could hope for with great mouthfeel. Love the hop profile.

Tasting at Phill's, bottle
Murky blond colour. The hop aroma is very pungent. Thick body, there is some moderate sweetness; the hop character is very strong, pungent, juicy, with strong tropical fruit; a bit of vegetable bitterness and yeast in the finish.
Like the Galaxy Belma, it's rough, but it's also very interesting. Good.

Murky pale blond colour, filthy. The aroma is juicy, but there is also some butter. Thick body, luckily not chalky, quite sweet, with juicy hops, some vegetable bitterness, I don't get butter on the flavour.
Very rough, but it's not too bad.

500mL bottle, pours an opaque murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out tangy citrusy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is rather chalky, with lots of yeast, some citrus hops, and dusty chalk. Very chalky and dusty. It's alright, but the usual chalky hazy.

500mL bottle, pours a milky yellow with a tiny white head. Aroma is full of diacetyl, with chalk, butter, and yeast soup -- gross. Flavour is just vile, with diacetyl galore, chalk, yeast soup, and a bit of earthy hops. The diacetyl totally ruins this. Incompetent garbage.
