Hazy amber brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light smooth palate, a modest dryness, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light but flavoursome malts, toffee caramel and cream, none of it that sweet. Some savoury wet wood and rich ripe fruity laden whiskey, slightly bitter. Semi dry finish leaves a bitterish spicy linger. Uncompromising ba barleywine.

Bottle at home. Pours copper with off-white head. Nose is sweet booze, malts, dried fruits, low smoke appears as it warms. Taste is sweet notes of malts, dried fruits, some booze. Sweet finish, light (too light in fact) body, soft to average carbonation. Not bad at all, but feels way too thin.

Tap at CBF Vienna '19. Én amúgy tökre élem a brettet, de itt nagyon visszafogott volt, és semmi más nem jött amúgy, szóval ez így összességében elég karcsú azért.

Tap at CBF Vienna. A pretty well balanced beer in which the dry, earthy coffee makes a great addittion to the solid base beer. Earthy notes, dark chocolate, dried fruits, sweet boozy touch.

A bit thin bodied but not watery. Nice slightly hazy golden with a tall foamy head. Plenty of citrus, tropical fruit, light sweet malt. Finish has a pleasant bitter bite. Impressed with this.

33cl can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with no foam. Aroma is of coffee and cacao nibs. Body is fairly thick, smooth, a little sticky, with limited carbonation. Taste is roasty bitter, with a little bready sweetness. Final is average.

pours pitch black with a almost nonexistant brown head. looks very barrel aged in that way.
Strong aroma of bourbon, vanilla, barrel aging, roasted malts. A lot of finer notes open up below this, tobacco, licorice, salt licorice, charred wood, the aroma is really really good if you give it a little time.
flavor is bourbon, roasted malts, notes from wood, the end is bourbon and wood notes. complex but as with the aroma you have to give it some time to develop. the vanilla is perhaps a bit in the way, but other than that it's a great BA bourbon imp stout and if you like the style you'll def. like this one.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso resta attratto dall'orzo tostato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è a grana fine e bollicine fini costituiscono anche la forma del perlage. Il colore è scuro impenetrabile. Il corpo è strutturato. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è elevata e la durata è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra impegnativa. Il retrogusto è intenso. Al palato arrivano note di caramello, miele, cioccolato, nocciola, frutta secca, pane tostato, luppolo, agrumi, affumicato e alcol presente.

All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sour. L'intensità olfattiva è flebile e il modo in cui permane è appena percepibile. Il cappello di schiuma ha una scarsa tenuta. Le bollicine sono grandi. Il liquido è di aspetto cristallino. Poche bollicine fini costituiscono la forma del perlage. Il colore è rosato. Il corpo è rotondo con una certa componente moderatamente acidula. La forza gustativa è elevata e la persistenza è sufficiente. Il finale è bruschino e semplice. Il retrogusto è delicato. Al palato finiscono impressioni di ciliegie, visciole, agrumi e limone.
