Bottle at a tasting. Weirdly characterless in all aspects considering it bears "IPA" in its name. Metallic. Really a fail.

Bottle at a tasting. Slightly metallic, otherwise hops centered. Thin bodied, fruity, lemony, citrusy, slightly sulfury. Flawed, but still a good one.

Cask-conditioned at the Black Country Arms, Walsall 10/3/2017. Golden in colour, with a tight, off-white, head. Apricot and tangerine fruits, caramel, some biscuity malts and leafy hops, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Fine.

Bottle shared in Hackney - thanks to Ken. Pours dark brown with a frothy, tan head. Burnt pine in the nose, ashy roast. Light sweet flavour with chalky baking cocoa, scorched earth, more ash. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bitter ashy finish, more cocoa, torched pine. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours darkest brown with a tiny off-white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy roasted malt, tangy dark fruits, plum, D&B, cola pine needles and coffee grounds. The taste is bitter - sweet, charred roasted malt, burnt pine, rich roast, ashy, peppery spice, wood shavings and soapy citrus with a dry, charred finish. Medium body and average carbonation. A touch raw maybe, but decent enough overall.
