Shared with wombat23 and darbeer75. From the bottle. Gold with a white head that turns thin and whispy. Metallic aroma, bit of grass and garden weed. 'Herbal' might be more polite. Mildly bitter with some sweet tones that feel almost artificial. It is Rheinheitsgebot but the hops leave something to desire. Body lightish, touch watery. Not my thing.

Bottle - pours gold white head - nose and taste of corn, metal, little liquid soap - not offensive though - medium body

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bronze color with a huge foamy orange-tan head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, caramel and golden fruit. The flavor was bitter and a bit tart with golden fruit, yeast and molasses. Long finish with an herbal note at the far end. Medium body. Better than I expected.

330 ml. bottle @ Little Ethiopia during Enkutatash apparently first day of Ethiopian New Year. I quite liked the food but this is just your average African Pale Lager. Clear orange with little head. Nose is sweet oily & syrupy corn and sugar, faint vegetables, far too sweet. Taste is sweet oily corn & candy, metallic, poor far too sweet nasty oily corn, sugar, quite tiresome after a while. Body is far too oily, sweet, soft carbonation.

Mild smell of straw. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma of malt, sweet fruit, maybe peach. Mildly bitter.

12oz bottle at an Ethiopian spot on 14th Street in DC. One of the worst beers I’ve had in a while. Not sure on the color. Smells like butterscotch and malt. Flavor is super sweet, butterscotch, malt, caramel. Slick, cloying finish. Woof.

Bottle from a trade with tderoeck, shared with the Ratebeer crew at GBF. Thanks for the country tick! Irregular, off-white, stable head over an ’old gold’ coloured beer, as good as clear. Nose of soaked chicken corn, cereals, hint of grass and a faint sulfuric touch (molten plastic). Sweetish corn on top of sourish grain as expected, but none of both very outspoken, more or less fizzy, thin body but strangely a bit less thin than many other standard pale lagers; the sulfuric accent returns a bit retronasally and there is a weak echo of grassy bitterishness in the finish, but otherwise it goes down neutral, grainy and watery. Bland industrial lager as usual, but to be honest, I found it less off-putting than I thought it would be, I had worse African lagers than this one.

Thank you for sharing Alengrin! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Gents Bierfestival 2016. Presumably vintage bottle. Clear orange, little white head. Nose is metallic rain water, very metallic with low corn. Taste is sweet corn, sugar, watery, quite watery, massively metallic & rotting corn. Metallic & watery body. Quite poor.

Clear orange beer, creamy irregular white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet and sugary, grains, dusty, cow fodder. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: marzipan, little sweet, watery, weird bitterness. Aftertaste: watery, bit metallic, meh.
