Sample at GABF 10/11/2012, thanks to Bluemeow76 for assistance with note-taking. The beer is a clear amber color with a medium off-white head and short strings of lacing. Aroma of toasted malt and hops. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, bready malt and citrus. The finish is hoppy with a fruit aftertaste. Decent overall.

This brew is a dark brown color with ruby highlights and a medium beige head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lace on the glass. Roasted malt and chocolate in the nose. Medium body with flavors of sweet malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is sweet with a roasty malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sawdust nose. Clear amber, medium yellow head. Malt forward, with a light grassiness. Alcohol is evident. Balanced but tame. Finally, a New Mexico tick!

This nut brown poured a dark amber colour with a nice, foamy, tan coloured head. To the nose there are scents of sweet malt, passion fruit and dough. First sip was delicous with flavours of lightly sweet malt, light smoke and floral hops. Finish is rich and mildly sweet with earthy smoke lingering.

12oz can pours a nice amber with copper edges and weak sort of light tan head. The mild aroma offers up earthy hops, spicy hops and a light amount of dark roasted malts. The taste begins moderately sweet with malts and a sweet nuttiness and then it moves toward a light amount of dark roasted malts as well as vague snippets of hop bitterness. This is hitting the spot right now. It is pretty full flavored for the style.

12oz can pours very dark brown with full dark tan head leaving behind some lacing. The aroma offers up malt balls and dark roasted coffee as well as a mild level of earthy chocolate. The taste begins with some dark roasted malts and dark roasted coffee and then it quickly sweetens up with malts, a bit of chocolate and malt balls. To midway and into the finish those notes are briefly interrupted by a dash of black licorice. Pretty nice stuff.
