Draft at the source. Very dark brown color, beige head, solid lacing. Aroma of pine needles dipped in coffee with a Hershey bar nearby. Taste is bitter espresso, unsweetened coffee, pine resin. A proper black IPA.

Can - pour is dark brown, nearly black - frothy off-white lace - moderate resinous, green hoppiness hits the nose first, followed by some chocolate and light roast - texture is firm up front, but a little watery near the finish - moderately bitter, with a slightly sharp acidity near the tail end - light vegetal notes - light char - an odd minty character - moderate chocolate sweetness - actually fairly mellow for the style - the hop character is nice, but the other messy aspects make it difficult to enjoy - great - now I have a whole six pack of this to get rid of.

33cl can, courtesy of Ibrew2or3. Cheers Dave for bringing this one to Belgium. Solide.

GBBF. 8.6% abv. Opaque black - brown beer, little tan head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Smooth dark malt with nice dark fruits underneath. Medium smoke - doesn’t dominate. Trace of unsweet chocolate. Semi dry finish. Pleasantly fruity and easy going.

Courtesy of Nick!! Pours slightly hazy copper with off white head. The aroma is huge with crushed aspirin tartness, a modest level of vinegar and then a light amount of funky body sweat. The taste is straight up puckering tartness and acidity with small islands of vinegar and balsamic vinegar where brief moments of non tartness can be had. Into the finish there’s just more acidity.
