Süß bitterer Antrunk, steigende Getreidigkeit. Die leichte Trockenheit passt, konstant bitter und etwas grasig. Gut. 9/11/11/11//11

Bottle shared at the 9th Richmond Rare & Unusual Epic Tasting, Richmond, VA, 11/30/14. Pours a hazy amber with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, stone fruit, booze. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, stone fruit, booze. Medium bodied, mild heat, decent balance.

Brooklyn Bowl, Brooklyn tap: I ain’t never seen Kelso Amber Lager before. I doubt that this is just the nut brown under a different name. According to a competing beer website, a Kelso Amber Lager existed around 2008. Maybe this is the return. Who knows. In any case, this pours a darkish amber with a whitish head. Aroma is caramel malts. Taste is pretty bad. It is drinkable, but it is kind of a combination of off-tastes. A little sweet, chemically, and metallic. Me not like very much, as you can tell.

Drought. Rich golden yellow with small foamy white head, sharp alcohol aroma, slightly sweet taste with alcohol at the background, abrupt finish, alcohol aftertaste. Nice but not great.

Drought @ Union Square. Hazy rich yellow with foamy white head, weak doughy aroma, low carbonation, sweetiah taste, abrupt finish. Very smooth but not making much impact on you.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden yellow color. Bar pour yielded no head. There was a fair amount of carbonation seen rising.
The smell didn’t have much other than some light sweet corn.
The taste was mainly sweet.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it.
Overall, mainly a decent pale lager.
