Draught @ Flatiron Hall. Hazy bright orange with large creamy off-white head, faint grassy hops aroma, low carbonation, thin body, lightly bitter lemon peel flavored beer with medium lemon peel finish. Not a great IPA.

Draught at the brewery, small stable creamy head, deepish cloudy orange color, aroma of hay and lightly stale grains, aroma of hay and barnyard with an herbal bitterness. Passable but a bit weird

Draft pour at the Great Pumpkin beer fest. Listed at 8%. Pours a cloudy orange color. Sweet pumpkin and orange fruit aroma. Flavor is all kinds of spices, and has a banana, pumpkin fruit finish. Honey sweet background. Very flavorful. Not bad.

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. Pale golden in the glass, with a small, white head on top. Fruityness, white sugar and raspberry in the aroma, with a faint spiced hint in the far back. Might as well be the berries tricking me. It’s medium bodied, light and nicely carbonated, with a generic fruityness and some raspberry dominating the flavor, both initially and in the end. Pale malts too. Rather short finish. A refreshing one, but a tad boring I think. 150624

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. An unclear, amber colored beer topped by a dense, beige head of moderate size. Toffee, dried fruits, alcohol, some banana hints and a wee touch of peaches and grass in the aroma. The flavor is quite sweet, with dried fruits, toffee and some banana. Alcohol flavor and warmth too, with a full, smooth body and a lasting finish. Too much on the alcohol side this one, but sure drinkable. 150624

Aroma of spicy yeast, lemongrass, citrus and sweetness. Taste os spicy. Peppery and lightly bitter. Citrus and lemongrass with loads of spicy yeast. Light bodied with a thin and slick texture. Super fizzy carbonation and a decently long finish.

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. 5% ABV. An unclear, peach colored beer with a dense, off-white head. Fruity aroma, mostly peaches or apricots, with some pineapple in the back. There’s some bitterness in the flavor, with peaches, a generic fruityness and some pine cones. Smooth, dryish and creamy body, and a long, bitter and peachy finish. Well, certainly not the most exciting fruit beer I’ve had. 150624
