5oz sampling at Heartland Brewery, 5th Avenue, New York. Pours cloudy amber with a small creamy off-white head. Aroma of hop, grain, biscuit, fruit and very light herb. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slightly oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Sweet biscuity finish. Not bad.

Draught @ Empire State location. Clear pale yellow with very small frothy whitish head that immediately disappears, faint malt aroma, medium carbonation, acidic tart taste, thin body, medium tart finish with slight metallic aftertaste. Not so great.

Draught @ Empire State location. Hazy dark orange with large foamy off-white head, piney aroma, medium carbonation, bitter hoppy taste with pine flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. A classical IPA with high alcohol content.

Draft at HB Burger. Hazy orange with a small white head and some sticky, streaky lacework. Strong grapefruit on the aroma, some pine, and a little alcohol. Fairly heavy bitter, grapefruit. Stickiness and heat on the mouth. Dry finish. Decent, fairly hot IIPA.

Tap at the Heartland Brewery and Chophouse, 43rd St, NYC. Pours a hazy mahogany brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of Christmas spices, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Quite heavy sweetness, little bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Finish is sweet with a dry mouthfeel.

Medium to heavy sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Aroma was its highlight.
