On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. A clear, golden beer with a dense, white head. The aroma is lightly malty, with some fruityness and grass. There’s a decent bitterness in the mouth, it’s dry and medium bodied with a nice carbonation. Pale malts in the back, with grass and a generic fruityness in the flavor. Medium length finish. Superbly boring, but quite well brewed. 150624

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. A dark one, almost black, with a creamy, light tan head on top. The aroma is roasted and coffee-ish, with some licorice. Rather boring and uninteresting, but not foul. There’s some sourish notes in the flavor, some berries too, but it’s mostly roasted malts. Full to medium body, smooth and with some acidity. Not much of the sweetness promised. Overall, a decent beer, but too acidic for me. 150624

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. It pours an unclear, orange colored body under a white head leaving lacings. The aroma is piney and grapefruity with some pale malts in the back. There’s a good bitterness in the flavor, with pine cones, resins and grapefruity hops, and a malty back that isn’t running the show. Full body, a bit heavy on the carbonation. Lasting finish with bitterness and piney hops dominating. A nice one indeed. Not superb, but sure nice. Drinks easy too. 150624

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. Light brown in the glass, clear and topped by a dense, light beige head leaving lacing. Some diacetyl in the aroma, but just a vague hint, with nuts, spruce hints and some bread. Roasted aroma with a decent bitternes, some nuts and bread. Less diacetyl than in the flavor, meaning it’s almost gone. Full body and a bit too much carbonation. Dry. Lasting finish. A decent one, nothing more. Especially the diacetyl is pulling the score down. 150624

The aroma has wheat in the back, with fruityness up front, some orange and a faint bitterness. It’s dry and medium bodied, nicely carbonated. Medium length finish. There’s a decent bitterness in the flavor, at least considering the style, as well as the fruityness and citrus hints known from the aroma. Almost no malt aroma or flavor. Medium body, quite dry and with a decent carbonation. Long mostly bitter finish. Refreshing, but too boring. 150624

On tap at Heartland, Empire State, NYC. A clear, golden beer with a dense, off-white head. The aroma is butterscotchy, on the corn-ish side, with some pear and generic fruityness in the back. There’s much less diacetyl in the flavor, it’s fruity and with a decent bitterness. Medium body, quite dry on the palate. Lasting bitter finish. Sort of refreshing this one, but not very good anyway. The orange blossoms and coriander weren’t detected. 150624
