Bottled. Not sure what went wrong here but poured a dirty yellow and was a mouthful of astringent grapefruit. Couldn’t finish.

375 mL bottle poured, grabbed from the cellar. Not sure about age with no bottle date printed, but based on other reviews, I wouldn't be surprised if this was from 2016, plus or minus a year. Classic brewer from my early discovery days. Tasty stout that held up nicely, and I have to imagine the rum notes have only gotten stronger. They really explode out of this brew on both aroma and flavor. Dense black pour with a small head that's caught somewhere half way between light and flat. Toasty aroma, with lots of rum, oak, and cocoa. Warming taste, layered body. Dry and flavorful barrel notes really keep this interesting. Very unique. All the flavors of that distinct rum barrel without being too intense or boozy. In a 14%, that's a bit of a surprise. Overall a standout stout that I'll probably never get to ever try again. Although the old Stogies and Hops I think still has a bottle left, as I write this.

Bottle at home. I don’t usually comment on appearance, but this beer looks gorgeous with its black colour and thick brown head. The aroma consists of dark roasted malt, chocolate, black coffee, espresso, some dark fruity notes. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate roasty hoppy bittersweet finish. Body is thick and full. Wow, lovely rich and thick Imperial Stout, I’d love to drink this one again!

Bottle shared by Brian, thanks! Pours near black with an earthy brown head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has earthy dark grains and light roast with a bit of musty chocolate. Flavor has earthy roasted malts and musty chocolate with wet dark grains backing.

Amber with off white head - Malt aroma with some notes of caramel - Malt body with caramel malt flavour with some hop bitterness in the back to balance - The malt flaovur goes into the finish - This was good

Bomber from Craft City. Pours dark brn/blk with a dark tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and toasted coconut. Med body. Flavor is earthy chocolate, toasted coconut and some coffee. Fairly dry. Toasted malt bitter. Coconut gets stronger in the finish. There is a bit of oily nut in it. Pretty good stuff.
