Thanks, jlindros. The beer is bright orangey gold in color. It’s quite hazy, which I rather like for an IPA.. Not that I really dislike clear IPAs. Eh. The head is white and fairly vigorous for a growler pour. Lots of lacing. Good retention. Even after a few minutes and many sips, there’s still a solid coating of bubbles on top. The aroma is massively juicy and full of hop flavor. Citrus for days. I remember reading BuckeyeNation use the term "electric tangerine" in a review; that would be a very apt descriptor for this beer. It smells like tangerine juice with a healthy shot of lime. There’s also pineapple, kiwi, raspberry, grapefruit and pine. It’s like a wonderful citrus drink spiked with a tropical fruit background. Mouthwatering stuff. Little malt presence, which is just fine with me. Taste is similarly big on juicy hop flavors. Pale malt sweetness is well in the background. Tangerine, grapefruit and lime hoppiness dominates with tropical fruits providing highlights. Moderate bitterness. Fairly dry. Tangerine rind finish. Extremely easy to drink. Light, pleasant feel. Seems like normal carbonation. Some hop oiliness. Each sip makes me want more. I feel a bit bad not sharing this growler, but I’m also glad that I didn’t. This is a fantastic IPA, fully deserving its acclaim. Tree House continues to impress.

Thanks to jlindros. Pours a nice medium gold. Somewhat cloudy liquid. Smallish white head, rocky. Some lacing, not much retention. Aroma is candied orange peel, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, a little pine, some blackberries. Just a bit of malt character with a faint touch of caramel flavor. Moderately bitter. Not quite as big on hop flavor as it could be but still plenty good. Lots of pineapple and citrus. Just a bit washed out in the finish, which could be a product of its time in the growler. Normal carbonation, bit of prickle from the hops. Solid DIPA.

Thanks to jlindros. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe version. Pours black, essentially no brown showing at the edges. Nice foamy head of light brown cream. Pretty good lacing, particularly for a growler pour. Very good retention, too. Aroma has a big shot of coffee on top of a good amount of chocolate. Really nice roasty coffee. Some fruit but it’s more of a chocolate, roast mix. Creamy and nice. Reminiscent of Vietnamese Speedway, which is probably my favorite coffee stout. The flavor follows the aroma. Lots of coffee, seems a bit fruitier than the aroma. Chocolate isn’t quite as big, and it could use it. I think that chocolate base would be there if they pumped up the strength a bit. There is some light milk chocolate with some some dark chocolate depth. Nice, creamy feel, particularly for a growler pour. Smooth, relatively low carbonation. Thick feel for the abv. Another excellent Treehouse beer.

Growler shared with the fellas at HamTech Reunion 2014 - Clinton, NY. Pours hazy gold with a white foam top. Rich fruits abound with lots of the tropical stuff, melon, tangerine and orange. Not too bitter, fairly sweet. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Juicy and rich but still well rounded. Really juicy on the finish with some honey, pale bread, lots more melon and tasty citrus. Just loads of expressive fruit character in here. Wonderful.

Growler shared with popery. Thanks popery. Aroma is moderately sweet with some light alcohol notes. Lots of hop character - big grapefruit and citrus, pine resin, tropical fruit, stone fruit and a hint of melon. Pours a cloudy, golden orange with a big, thin, white head that steadily recedes to the edges where it lingers. Flavor has a medium light, cracker malt character with a light sweetness. Medium high bitterness with high hop flavor. Hop flavor is grapefruit, pineapple, tropical fruit and stone fruit with some resin to balance the fruit. Light alcohol notes in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice DIPA with a lot of fruity hop character and a balanced resin note to round out the fruit. Nice, light malt charger with a touch of sweetness.

Growler with popery. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. Aroma is very coffee forward with a nice roast character and medium nuttiness. Light creaminess and medium light chocolate notes. Light fruitiness. Pours black with faint brown notes on the edges. Moderate, thick, creamy, dark tan head with above average retention that leaves a small layer forever. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly roasty with moderate milk chocolate and light bakers chocolate. Moderate strong coffee notes with a bit of nuttiness and fruit. Medium light bitterness with faint alcohol notes. Light sweetness with faint dark caramel and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Medium light stickiness in the finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice coffee stout. Great coffee character with a good base beer behind it. Not too big and sticky, nice malt character.
