Bottle. Color: Hazy reddish amber, very thin off-white head. Aroma: Tart and sweet, fruity, vinuous and Bourbon. Taste: Complex and well balanced mix of sweetish Bourbon, vinuous red wine, fruity grape and citrus notes, oak wood and wild yeast funk. Moderate tart and sweet. Dry-ish. Tannins. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Very nice.

One of Silke’s fifty. Amber with a creamy, white head that lingers. Aroma a mix of pine, caramel and apricot. There’s a sweet smelling decadence to the whole thing. Taste is bitter, almost sharply so, bittersweet at the finish with the strong caramel undertones wrestling for dominance. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, chewy. Not bad.

One of Silke’s fifty. Amber with a frothy head. Perfumed aroma, floral. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Body to the light side of medium, mildly watery texture, particularly at the finish. Easy drinking. Simple. Ok.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, light amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Fruity hoppy aroma with tropical fruity and zesty, citrusy aspects, notes of grapefruit, some overripe orchard fruit, a touch of mango, orange peel. Taste is dry, fruity hoppy, pale and caramel malty backbone with some residual sweetness, zesty notes of lemon, grapefruit. Light body, watery texture, dry palate, medium, prickly carbonation. Quite dry, very drinkable, not the fruitiest DIPA on planet Earth - OK.

375ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Oct 21. Thanks David for this. Sherbetty Brett nose, taste continues along a floral Brett tangent. Lots present here. Very flavoursome with good depth of brett flavours. Decent.

25th October 2021. Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie; 5 guys splitting beers and talking bollox, great fun. Cheers Mat for the 37.5cl bottle of this (BB 3rd June 2025), my first beer from this brewery. Amber body, white head. Farmyard funk on a vegetable trucks wheels leaving for the market.

Bottle at Café Tilt, Utrecht, Netherlands Monday 18th October 2021, sat outside. Appearance is hazy warm gold with a white head. Super fruity, dry, bitter, a little furry bite. Really good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Refuse/Resist on 09 Jan 2026 at 16:38 - Score: Appearance - 7 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Original review text: On tap at Oproer brewpub, Utrecht Friday 9th January 2026, after a long wet walk from the hotel via De Kromme Harring (not open until 4pm, schoolboy error 😐) then into town, we visited Eetcafé de Poort first, then DeRat. Pours hazy warm gold, mid sized white head. Good mouthfeel, sweetish, There's a a little sweet citrus, a hit of honey, a little bit of perfume edge which I quite like, nice, malty. Best one here so far. Score 7.1
