A golden ale with a thin white head. A nice fresh hops aroma with light caramel. In mouth, a light butterscotch, caramel and refreshing hops, not overbearing, a bit too light. On tap at brewpub Oct. 11 2008.

Growler from CBC. Pours light mahogany into a shaker. Fluffy tan head with good retention slowly recedes leaving spider lacing. Caramel and resin aromas. Well balanced and crisp upfront with a lasting resin finish. I’d call it an American Strong ale similar to an Arrogant Bastard. Improves tremendously as it warms...

GABF 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet and quite spicy - among others I pick up coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of coriander, leading to a dry spicy and slightly wheaty finish.

GABF 2007. A slightly hazy golden beer with a lazing white head. The aroma is sweet malty with spicy notes of cinnamon and more mixing in with notes of pumpkin. The flavor is sweet malty with spicy notes of cinnamon mixing with notes of pumpkin. The body is light. Not my thing with pumpkin in beer.

GABF 2007. A hazy golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of over ripe fruits - some peaches among others. The flavor is very sweet with notes of over ripe fruits - again peaches being strongest, also with notes of wood. The finish is dry woody and peachy.

Hand-bottled. A light amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is very spicy with notes of nutmeg, heather, and lavender, as well as a slight acidity. The flavor is slighlty acidic with strong notes of spices; heather, lavender, and milfoil (rølikke), leading to a very dry finish.

GABF 2007. A pale golden beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet malty with strong notes of grapefruit and hops. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of over, that almost makes it acidic, and gives it strong notes of grapefruit.

GABF 2007. A hazy amber-brown beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of wood, brettanomyces, cherries, and over ripe fruits. The flavor has a lovely acidity, that draws out the mouthwater, on which is notes of wood, cherries, and over ripe fruits, as well as lighter notes of prunes, leading to a woody finish.

Amber-red colour with a thick head. Chocolatey aroma with caramel. Very toasty palate; dry & breadcrusty. Good balance.

Rich reddish colour. Thin head. Hazy...looks beautiful. Quite cheesy hop nose with lots of caramel. Oddball taste - melon, earth, wood. None of it makes any sense. Really dry finish despite the chewy taste. For me, this simply did not come together.
