A hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice fruity malt with light Brett, light herbal hops, light coriander, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with cereal, light Brett, light lactic notes, very nice and smooth.

375mL bottle, final batch, purchased December 2024 from the brewery. ABV up to 9% from previous 6.5% batch.
Clear, blonde-honey. Incredibly-fizzy head fizzles away quickly to nothing.
Big yarrow-like vibes with a round, softy, honey-rich maltiness to balance. Light oak, minimal grape and lingering heavy herbal spice.
Soft, thick, rich, juicy, big bready and honey-like malts with a bit of "run-away-hot-fermentation-alcohol" character. The herbs are intense and spicy, deep and lightly medicinal reminding me heavily of yarrow. Love the slightly syrupy texture to balance the oak, acidity and herbal bitterness. It does it admirably and the beer finishes with and shows lingering honey, bread, oak and gentle white wine. All the while the herbs lighten somewhat.

Brewery draught, 12/14/24. Clear amber. Still. Bright, rich, zesty blood orange augments the spicy, yet nicely mellow bourbon. Rich toffee, vanilla, honey and caramel from the malt. No alcohol. Soft, syrupy, richly malty with zesty blood orange to help balance. Chewy and luxurious with a near-perfect balance of sweet, acid, and mellow barrel. No alcohol noted. Could drink a whole bottle of this stuff easily.
little hipster place. great beer menu.

Brewery draught, 11/22/24. Quite cloudy, muted lemon-brass. Very little head. Heavy wheat with spicy fruit fermentation. Some earth, lots of mineral. Juicy passion fruit, pineapple, mango. Sweet and succulent but balanced by the drier wheat character. Juicy, flavorful and refreshing. Excellent fruit expression. Very low acidity. Wouldn't hate a bit more tartness.

Brewery draught, 11/22/24. Clear amber, small head. Sweaty pine hop with mild pine and good, fruity yeast. No resin, toast or heavy wood. Clean. Pine spice and light marijuana suggestions on top of a medium, chewy body with biscuit and bread notes. Clean, moderately bitter, balanced. No god damned toast and caramel! A crappy style done as best as possible!

Brewery draught, 11/22/24. Heavily hazy, deep bronze-maize. Small, white head. Juicy, bright, spicy, leaning in the cedar notes moreso than the coconut or pineapple. Really interesting and aromatic. Lots of cedar and mild coconut with a soft, fuzzy, gently malty and dry body. Clean and spicy with lingering coconut and tons of spicy cedar. Maybe a touch too monotonous with the spice notes...

Brewery draught, 11/22/24. Mildly-to-moderately hazy, paler brass-blonde. Small, white head. Soft and juicy with lots of round melon and light tropical notes. Very fruity, juicy, bright and with a healthy honey and white bread-,like malt backing. Dry but with a good maltiness. Bit of buttery character with moderate bitterness. Floral and herbal showing none of the melon and very little juice from the nose. But the bitterness slaps and it's refreshing and flavorful in its own right.

Brewery draught, 11/22/24. Clear, rich golden-maize. Small, white head. Fresh, feathery, floral and brightly herbal noble hops with crisp yeast/mineral and specks of honey and biscuit-like character from the malt. Rich malt creating a comforting, succulent texture. High attenuation and liberal hopping creating a crisp, dry, refreshing finish replete with white grape, mineral and all sorts of herbal notes. Lip-smacking honey-like maltiness lingering. Clean, bold, balanced, refreshing.

Notes from June 2009 Thanks to the 4-finger beer bandit for the opportunity. Open front slit, black cardboard box laden with fireworks & a significant write-up/explanation on the back side. Looks more like a really big New Year's Eve popper then a bottle of beer. :P A cautious pour into my sampling mug, a stiff dollop of off-white head that eventually melts into a golden wheat colored body. Smell is intense right off the bat. Not eye-watering hops though. A potpourri of soapy florals & fresh/sharp citrus rind. Orange & lemon oils seem to separate off a little. Invigorating, but a bit overly peppery. On taste, juicy hops accompanied by sugary malt. Alcoholic, spicy, & a bit itchy. The massive list of ingredients condenses down into a perfumey herbal soap. Plenty of carbonation there at least, accelerating all the resin, & scratching at my sinuses. A lingering, green finish. Too much of a messy potluck for me to really enjoy. Thin enough to quickly put down that I can see it working on some levels, but really not my idea of good stone soup.
