Brewery draught, 10/20/22. Heavily hazy, peach-maize-bronze. Little/no head retention. Juice cybprach-mango-papaya. Overripe red grapefruit and sumptuous base malts with very low acid and no alcohol. Soft, juicy, mega-fruity with all sorts of citrus, stone and tropical fruits. Malts are deep but well-attenuated. No resin/twang/alcohol. Almost great but just a bit too low on the bitterness. Bogs down pretty quickly in malt and juice sweet-like characters without enough hop bitterness.

Brewery draught, 10/20/22. Lightly hazy, peach-maize. Neat, off-white head atop is well-retained. Smells like intense, juicy cashmere. Sweeter than they usually are with less potpourri/spice. Cantaloupe, peach, mango, very juicy and rich with no resin but also little in the way of what I associate w Nelson...malts seem quite dense, with lots of white bread sweetness. In the mouth it's full of melon and white bread malt sweetness. Bitterness is low but there's no real cohesion here, or clarity of hops. Popcorn, rice, mild pine, lemon rind, twangy pineapple. Honestly it tastes like bad Sabro. Fine attenuation but it just keeps getting twangier and twangier with every sip. Sour citrus....sourdough. These hybrid IPAs are so hit or miss.

Brewery draught, 10/20/22. Clear, deep maize-to-light-amber. Beige head quickly to ring. Lots of toast, toffee and honey, less-so on hops or mineral. But clean, of course, with light herbs and pepper on the finish. Soft, very malty, tight carbonation and balanced with light hops and moderate medium malts. Maybe a bit too much specialty malt for my liking. Lots of toasted sourdough augmenting the already strong base malt. The attenuation is fine and the maltiness would make any decoction brewer proud, but it's a bit much, which is impressive for its size. Brewery draught, 9/24/24. Pretty much the same as two years ago. No significant differences. Still a very strong, robust example for its size.

Draft at South Station Boston. Fine dark amber pour. Some sudsy head. Nose is spicy and caramel. Tastes of caramel, red fruits, pepper. Pleasant and good for style. Lot of ratings by folks who don’t appreciate amber ales.

Brewery draught, 8/7/22. Chill-hazed, peachy-copper. Small, feeble head. Tropical fruits, sauv Blanc, dainty honey and cracker malt. Clean, no aggressive hopping. The pomace really complements without overpowering. Juicy and zesty fruit mixes wonderfully with gentle hop bitterness. No resin from the high alpha hops and no preponderance of nasty pineapple from the Sabro. Soft and malty texture with maris-like honey and great attenuation. No booze, resin, weird yeast.

Brewery draught, 8/7/22. Heavily hazy, deep bronze-peach-cantaloupe. Small, neat, off-white head. Leafy, lightly piney, with spice and sweat. Lightly toasted malt and a bit of melon. Clean, no alcohol or resin. Wow....watermelon?? Yeah, definitely intense watermelon. Not like Tree House but more candyish. Bitterness is moderate, with grainy malt but mostly supportive nonetheless. Peach, cantaloupe melon, sourdough and pine linger beside the watermelon. I think I would like a touch more malt sweetness, but this is still well-done and very interesting/unique.

Brewery draught, 8/7/22. Deep copper with a strawberry blonde tint. Minimal, white head. Lightly toasted malt with light honey-like notes and moderate fruitiness from hop and specialty malt. Very clean, not too hoppy and showing light minerality. Soft, malty, very flavorful with a great depth for its size. Herbal/spicy hops add a strong but still balanced bitterness and the beer finishes crisp and refreshing with herbs and succulent malt.

Pours a hazy light yellow from a can. Bright floral and honey aroma and flavor. A little bit too flora for me. Good beer.
