Tap at Little Delirium. My Eisbock tick. Yippee! Golden brown/dark amber colour, small thin off-white head. Aroma is oud bruin sour, earthy, not as I expected, lightly fruity, apples, and quite sweet. Something a bit skunky too. Taste is pretty unusual. Initial sourness, but then quite a bit of sweetness. Really reminiscent of an oud bruin again. Aftertaste is bit vegetal though. One is definitely enough in one sitting. Little bit of spritziness.

Pours a clean light-golden colour with a decent white cap that stays a while and leaves a little creamy-patching lacing. Cereal grain aromas at first with some sweetness in the background and hints of rusty water. The taste is pretty much the same. Because of the real cereal grains, this is a better lager than most macros. Decently brewed.

Dark brown. Sweet, mapley sort of sugar aroma, and a bit of nuttiness. Nice rich sugars, again a maple note, some rich malts. Nice and mellow, with a good sense of balance. Not super complex, but good stuff.

2016 vintage. 341mL bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma smells pretty oxidized, with bready caramel, alcohol and cardboardy, sherry-like oxidation. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready caramel, sherry-like oxidation, some cardboard, and a bit of dark fruits. Not as dialed in as I'd like, and a bit too much oxidation, but it's pleasant once you get past that.

My Christmas night review pours a clean amber colour with a light warm-beige head that is kind of creamy, with good retention and some nice creamy lacing. The hoppy nose has lots of grass notes over caramel malts. The taste shows some decent bitterness of grassiness again over caramel malts. I am pretty surprised with this one, as nothing is offensive like their DFH Strong Lager. A better experience, a good IPA.

Can that pours a slightly hazed, light amber colour with a light beige head, average retention and some patchy foam lace. Caramel malt base aromas with some dark fruits blending things. After breathing a while, some weird hops come out, giving a mix of mint and chemical notes. The taste has all of this as well. I pour the rest of the can, and again, seems good at first. But no. The taste still has this awful fake hop flavour. I really don't know how to explain it. Maybe, like going to the dentist, getting the mint polish and having a decent beer right after - ruining everything. Saint Michael would not approve.

Alchemists Imperial Stout 7.9% Pouring inky black with a tan head and a great chocolatey oats aroma. Full bodied with a raspy carbonation. The taste is toasted oats and rich chocolate. This beer with 2 years on it is freaking delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Now with a much cooler label than this photo. It was an exceedingly clear red-brown in color with a rich malty plum aroma. Medium to full bodied and surprisingly mellow and smooth. Rich malty sweet caramel with lots of plum and stone fruits. Surprisingly easy to drink and everyone was astounded at how smooth it was.
